I've been seeing Betty Feick for 20 years; I like and respect her as a doctor. I started with her in a time of my life when I was vulnerable, and not very trusting. I'm glad that she became my doctor. She is respectful and positive. If I need to get something checked out, she will follow through with that. Appointment times are not right on the money, but if you come early, then they are. When working under time pressure, I could always phone and see if there delays (and work around that). She cares! She is not a pill pusher, and supports naturopathology (preventative and alternative medicines, etc.). She will go beyond your time frame if it is needed, and this does sometimes mean appointment overlap. She is trauma informed, and her "bedside manner" supports and respects patient dignity. She is supportive, knowledgeable and honest. If she cannot answer a question, or is unsure, she will check it out or send you to someone can answer that. She will be retiring, and i'm glad for her, and sorry for me!

I've been seeing Dr Feicke for many years, as have my children. She is a good physician and I've never felt rushed. Actually, just the contrary, I've felt at some appointments that I've kept her too long! I've never had a misdiagnosis and have found she always takes the time to ensure I get what she believes I need. I always leave feeling she's given me the best care possible. Thank you

Dr. Feick has been my family doctor for about 19 years, yet I go in and she still asks me to this day, "am I your regular family doctor?" as if she's meeting me for the first time. She runs on average about 40 minutes to an hour behind on all of her appointments, yet when it is my turn for my 10 minute slot she rushes me, interrupts me and doesn't believe anything I say. I was recently in her office explaining to her an issue at hand, when she attempts to tell me I must have something else (which I didn't have and this was later confirmed). When I told her that my symptoms don't match what she is claiming I am dealing with, she put her hand up in my face as to tell me to stop talking. When you are relying on your patients to give you a description of their symptoms to help assist you in your diagnosis, you think it would be important to hear what they have to say. Overall I find that Dr. Feick rushes her appointments, and is very rude to deal with.

She is amazing! She is so caring and so personable. She became my doctor when I was 13 and no longer comfortable seeing a male, years later I moved away. When I came back she tooke me back. She is also my grandmothers doctor and goes above and beyond for her. When my grandmother was in the hosital she came to visit her. Dr Feike went on her own time as a visitor to make sure my grandma was okay. She always asks my grandmother how I'm doing.Any time tests were ordered she would always follow up with me. She was so caring and so understanding every time I went in.

I felt very rushed with dr feick. She never seemed to be on time and I felt like she wanted me out of her office so she could move on to the next person. SHe seemed to just want to prescribe medications and offered no alternative solution. I also found that whenever I wanted to make appointments I'd have to book way in advance. She always seemed to be on vacation or not in the office. Im not sure if this was due to my bad timing/luck. But it was annoying. I decided to switch Doctors after I gave birth to my son a year ago..The dr who delivered my son gave me a different idea of what a GP should be like and made me feel more like a person rather than a time slot.

For all of you that complain about Dr. Feick - all I can say is, "give your head a shake!" Bette has been my GP since the day I was born, 26 years. She is also my mother's and grandmother's GP. She is so incredible that, although I have lived in Victoria for 6 years, I have kept her as my physician because I have not met a GP who could replace her in quality. To complain that she keeps patients waiting and then to further complain that she doesn't take time to answer questions/discuss concerns is so contradictory it's ludicrous!! Doctors don't run late. Patients do! For every patient running late/taking up extra time, that's more time that every following patient's appointment time is delayed. I challenge anyone to find a more helpful and knowledgeable physician than Bette. Seriously.. GOOD LUCK!

She's been my doctor since the day I was born; 19 years. She scared me when I was little; all doctors did. But since then, I've come to realise just how very lucky I am for having her. She saved my mom from death, and she's always been receptive to my personal concerns - even when I told her I thought they weren't really worth mentioning.

I love Dr. Feick. I've come to realize a great doctor is hard to find and there is a huge amount of strain on physicians these days. I wish people would realize this and stop blaming doctors. Appointments are 10-15 mins long...that's it. I have a feeling many patients expect too much from their appointments instead of sticking to 1 medical problem. Make another appointment if you want more time. That said, I feel Dr. Feick really truly cares for her patients and takes on more than she can in the 15 mins allotted time....therefore there is always a wait time to see her. Not her fault...stop taking up her time with 100 concerns and make several appointments instead. That's the way it is in Canada....at least it's not costing you $80 to see her for 15 mins. Bring a book, relax and realize you are waiting to see a fantastic doctor. Many people can't find a family doctor at all. Be grateful and stop complaining...your negativity may be the root of your health concerns.

I visited Dr. Feick once while my regular doctor was on vacation. She was rude and confrontational. I ended up walking out of her office in less than 1 minute due to her condescending attitude.
