Karen does a bang up job. She does not suffer fools lightly. She is a pain in the ass sometimes..but she knows her stuff. Has been our family Doc for over 6 years.

My doctor for 20 years: my rating is very good because she has given excellent care - she listens, and she does not over diagnose. She works with me as a consultant - with this I am most happy.

I have found Karen Berg to be extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, judgemental and generally a really difficult person to try and work with in managing my health. She has done things like speak loudly in public about my private medical situation which was traumatic for me. I'm surprise she is still practicing.

She seems to jump to conclusions too quickly and without sufficient testing (e.g. blood work. )Moreover, these conclusions all too often involve prescribing medication. Also, I find her to be judgemental.

I have found this doctor to be judgemental and uncaring. My appointments are rushed, and I leave feeling like I got nowhere. I once asked her to check my blood pressure (as she had never done it before), and she said 'oh, I'll do it next time'. I have not been able to bring myself to go back to her, and now don't have a GP at all. I just go to the hospital when I need to see one, making sure she isn't on call that day.

While Karen as a person has her days just like all of us, as my GP for about 13 years, I am very happy with her. She has been a very important person in helping me to manage a disability that affects me daily. I do not make much money and she has bent over backwards over and over again to help me. She does care, she just can appear unemotional or unconcerned I dont believe it is actually the case. All in all, top ratings for her from me!!

She has a TERRIBLE bedside manner. I found she brought in me for apts when it was un-necessary (I should have been told to go elsewhere ... ie: midwife, as she told me once there, and told me little else), is dismissive to actuality of emotional problems/issues/help required. Does not seem to have care for her clients, or job.

Dr. Berg has been my GP for nearly 10 years. She has always taken the time to answer my questions and always agrees to let me follow up with a specialist if I feel I need one (thankfully not too often). Invariably, to date, Dr. Berg's analysis has matched the specialist's version. I think she is very knowledgeable in a busy general practice. She sometimes runs late but if you are the patient she is taking the extra time with, you appreciate it.
