Dr Hayden installed a bovine tissue aortic valve on June 30 2009. 4 days in hospital. No pain
no discomfort. A wonderful experience. Thank to Dr. Hayden and the staff at Royal Columbian hospital.

Dr. Hayden performed bypass surgery on me in 1996. He did a really good job, and I have been doing very well ever since then, and it will be 24 years this year since the surgery was done. We are very lucky to have great doctors like him in B.C. Clinton Berg

The Doc. did two open heart surgeries in 2010 and no question he saved my life. There was a mistake with the first op. which called for a second chest opening. The mistake was fully explained and he has my utmost respect for that. My heart has since carried me through two cancer op.s. the last one in 2017. It had to be restarted three times & I,m still here. Thanks Robert. cheers, Mike Brewer

I had the privilege, in my 40 year nursing career to work with Dr Hayden in his first two years at the RCH open heart unit. A truly gifted surgeon and an amazing human being.

My 89 year old Mother had a pacemaker inserted. She mentioned the excellent care she received. He was patient and answered all her questions.

Exceptional dr. I had a pacemaker implanted with no problems. The staff at Jim Patterson pavilion were exceptional. We are lucky to have this Dr.

The surgery itself went very well. But Dr. Hayden failed to clamp the ribcage to allow the cartilage to form. Instead he just stapled the skin. We were told the cartalige will form on its own. Six years later I can see my fathers heart through his skin. We have been told by other doctors that to repair that damage is not an option. Now he needs more surgery and it can not be preformed through the old opening as it would be too risky due to the inapropriate closure. Before having surgery preformed by this doctor please go over all points from opening to closing so you do not have a large gaping hole in your chest.

Outstanding surgeon and support staff at RCH. Performed septuple bypass on close family member in March 2009, with excellent results. This man is truly a gifted angel.
