His knowledge and concern was most important. His advice 10 years ago gave me trust for one of the finest doctors who have treated me.

He is the worst Dr. in this state! He is pompus, uncaring and does NOT take care of his patients. Had he taken better care of my mom, she would still be with us. Also his nurse, is just as bad. He should not be practicing medicine! People!! DO NOT GO TO HIM!!!!! He never called back, the wait in his office was long and depressing.....He was voted one of the best Dr.'s in AZ. What a joke! He must have paid for that! I am telling you...do not use him as a Dr. You will be sorry!!!!

I was a patient in 2002 so hopefully things have changed. First before even seeing Isaacs the waiting time was ridiculous - not fun if you're undergoing chemo and already feel punky. He took the bone marrow biopsy from my hip - definitely not fun and unconventional since my brother and aunt have all of their bmb's from their backside. No one I know of has ever heard of a bmb from the hip. A couple of years later when I relapsed and was treated at Sloan-Kettering they too ?ed it and my unusual chemo protocol. No matter what any magazine says, always go for the second opinion or find a support group of people with the same diagnosis to compare treatments.

Dr. Isaacs and his whole staff are professional and helpful. I just started chemo and have been at his office a total of four times. Each time, even though there were up to 20 people in the waiting room, I never had to wait more than ten minutes. There is a reason he has been listed as the best of the best oncologists in the Valley for several years running.

Dr Isaacs and his staff saved my life. They have been extremley attentive and agressive in the treatment of my breast cancer. I never went without anything during my treatment. It was a joy to always see smiling faces and positive staff before, during and after my treatments. I can't thank them enough!

I have seen several doctors about my condition and Isaacs is easily the most pompous, rude, and argumentative of the lot. I get the impression that his level of competence is just average while his ego is definitely oversized. I am an organized and educated patient but he did not want to hear my whole case history (or even half of it) and jumped to conclusions, often wrong, meanwhile berating me for not having done X,Y, and Z years ago. His office waiting room looks like the seating area at an airport gate, and you'll get about as much individual attention as you get at an airport. A truly awful experience.

Two days after an initial consultation regarding my advanced lung cancer, I was refused a prescription for pain medication refill by the nurse practitioner in Dr. Isaacs'' office. She left the room to talk to Dr. Isaacs, she said, and when she came back she said he refused to refill the prescription because too much medication had been taken. Dr. Isaacs never spoke to me and never followed up with me for a MONTH. He simply said that he NEVER refused prescriptions and that he was very SORRY that this had happened to me. I had to go into the hospital and go through agonizing pain and anxiety in order to get terribly needed pain medication. This treatment from a man who told me his entire goal was to see that I would not suffer pain.

I found Dr. Isaacs to be arrogant, pompous, and flat-out wrong about some of the facts of my disease, which I know a fair amount about. He jumped to conclusions without hearing my complete medical history. He rushed through the interview and exam. He is not at all open to patients providing him with studies by top doctors obtained through the internet. Frankly, he seems to have a God complex and dismisses any questions or concerns that he doesn't want to hear. His office is very busy, the staff is rushed, the lounge looks like something out of a crowded airport. If you want personal attention and the highest standard of care from a reasonable human being, go elsewhere. This was my worst experience with a doctor and I have seen quite a few in my time.
