In my many years of experience with Doctor's in every specialty from New York to Arizona, I have never had the privilege of being treated by such an outstanding Physician as Rodrigo Chan, M.D.

Dozens of cardiologist's later and probably trying just about every blood pressure medication over decades, this humble, genius figured it out.

Not only did he figure out my blood pressure, he is so thorough, that he performed the necessary ultrasound to discover that I needed ablations in my legs for Chronic Venous Insufficiency.

No Doctor ever suspected that I had that. I was always told that my leg pain was radiating from spinal Issues.

I was also misdiagnosed by several supposedly fabulous cardiologists with Atrial Fibrillation and put on potentially dangerous, unaffordable blood thinners. I must mention that other doctors ordered monitor's dozens of times concluding the diagnosis of Atrial Fibrillation. Here is where we separate the men from the boys!!!!!!

Dr. Chan is the only Doctor who took the time combined with his genius expertise, to determine that I needed a Loop Recorder inserted to determine whether it was a true A-Fib. After tireless studying resulting in correct interpretation, he was able to see that I had Premature Atrial Contractions, not requiring blood thinners. Alleluia!

In my humble opinion, the key to success in diagnosing, resolving and properly treating a patient is by open communication between the Doctor and the patient. It IS a two-way street.

With Dr. Chan, there is no ego involved. He not only takes the time to explain in detail, he listens and respects the input of his patient and together a viable conclusion is met and with GREAT success I must add.

So to the very few who complain about time, I have to say, you cannot really respect yourself or care enough to get the best care of your life!

I say thank you to Dr. Chan and his entire, wonderful, caring staff.

The world needs more of him.

I have been seeing Dr. Chan for 10 months.
My previous cardiologist had admitted me to the hospital. I was experiencing shortness of breath and near fainting episodes. He never even gave me a diagnosis. Every time I followed up with him telling him that I was not getting better, he would blow me off and say that I would be fine and to just keep taking my meds. He even went as far to say that it was all in my head.
My pharmacist was the first to recommend Dr. Chan. I was then recommended to the doctor by my Pastor’s wife.
I can’t say enough about Dr. Chan and how he takes care of his patients.
On my first visit, I knew I was in good hands. He took the time to listen and explain everything he suspected.
He even gave me his personal number and whenever I call him, he always calls back, even at night!
When I am in the waiting room, I hear some patients complaining, but no matter how long I must wait, it is worth it.

My husband and I have been married for 65 years and have been patients of Dr. Chan for seven years.
We are both in Ministry.
A visit to my sister-in-law here in Arizona to assist with her Ministry for helping the homeless led us to a visit with Dr. Chan.
We decided to combine our Ministry efforts. My husband was seeking to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to enable him to drive a truck back and forth from Arizona to Missouri to share supplies for the needy in both states.
Since my husband had a stroke back in Missouri, it was required that he obtain cardiac clearance.
Dr. Chan saved his life by discovering his need for a triple bypass, a defibrillator and a pacemaker.
We truly believe that our move to Arizona from The Ozarks was by Divine Intervention. We were meant to meet Dr. Chan.
While sitting in the waiting room, occasionally, I hear patients complaining about long waits. I very calmly tell them that it is well worth the wait and ask why they are willing to sit through a movie but become impatient waiting for an extraordinary doctor, making them realize that their lives are more important. I tell them he will help them. I tell them that he is like kin and that his entire staff is amazing and A1. His character flows down to and through them.
HE LISTENS until he gets to the bottom of the problem and comes up with a successful game plan, one that is the best plan of action to improve your health and quality of life.
We have been to many doctors who rush us in and out and provide no answers.
During one of my visits, I told him about a severe urological issue that I was having. He asked me several related questions. When I told him that my PCP did not even see me and just sent in a prescription for antibiotics, he warned me about the potential dangers of taking the wrong antibiotics. He ordered bloodwork and referred me to a urologist. Turned out that I had a severe bladder infection and was in excruciating pain. I thank God for Dr. Chan’s intervention and that he takes the time to treat the whole patient.
He is truly a living example of why it is so important to listen to help people.
If I was stronger, I would volunteer in his office!
God help anybody who tries to blow his candle of light and knowledge because we need it today.
Too many run through you like a herd of cattle but not this doctor!
A lie takes forever to form. The truth just flows out like a waterfall.
I wish people would place more value on their lives and learn patience.
God Bless Dr. Chan and his entire staff

Although the wait times are sometimes longer than expected, Dr Chan is one of the most compassionate doctors you will ever meet. Dr Chan does spend a lot of time with each new patient, he always listens carefully and always answers all your questions, explains all options, without ever making you feel like he is rushed to run to the next patient. And what a talented surgeon Dr Chan is. If you're needing one of the most gifted electrophysiologists in Arizona, then you've come to the right place. In reading some of these reviews, it seems like some new patients would prefer a doctor that is quicker, or has a staff that answers the phones faster, or has a better receptionist. Me? I want the best doctor, so I don't mind sometimes waiting an extra 30 minutes to see the doctor, or waiting an extra week or two to schedule an appointment.

Dr. Chan and the whole team are the best! I am treated as a person and not a number. I have gone through different clinics and nobody was able to manage the care I need. I would highly recommend them.

I met Dr. Chan over 6/7 years ago when he worked at the hospital on Dobson & the 60, BEFORE he had his own practice. What an outstanding doctor, SUPER caring & VERY intelligent! Dr. Chan did an Ablation & I no longer have A-Fib! I'm sooooo grateful! My brother has had "3" Ablations, and still has A-Fib, (didn't use Chan).
Dr. Chan is truthful. He will not suggest a procedure unless it is necessary! EXCELLENT Doctor!

I am a 67 year old male who has never written a review before. But this needs to be said , I was refered to Dr. Chan because i had A-Fib. He did a ablation and got me back in rythem which was good , but not what I am here to talk about. At my last checkup his office suggested we do a ultra sound of my heart (not because of any specific reason) , its just one of the things they like to take time to check. They found a large aneurism on my ascending aorta root valve and artery that would have killed me if it burst. I had open heart surgery right away, and got it fixed. Bottom line is I believe I owe my life to these people for caring enough to go the extra mile. Dr. Chan is a extremely busy man but when you have a appointment with him and are faced to face he will take as much time as you want to talk to you. One damm good Dr. that runs one damm good office.
