I had to switch Doctors and clinics as I could never get in. Rude staff and limited parking. My insurance forms were messed up as well

THE. BEST. DOCTOR. EVER. Dr. du Plooy is such a genuinely kind person, which makes him an exceptional doctor. He truly cares and listens to his patients. He should win an award or teach a class on ideal physician bedside manner! It is difficult to get an appointment with him in a timely manner sometimes, but it is because he is so popular; his patients trust him and he always knows what to do. He is worth the wait! He has a good sense of humour too. He is not always right (but he usually is) or he does not always have the answers (but he usually does). He is honest about that, which I appreciate. One of the reviews below actually made me upset. It said "Now the clinic has him over booked and over worked just to make money" and "He has now simply become a pill pusher for the clinic." Dr. du Plooy works so hard to help people and hearing someone speak this way is disheartening. He also provides a lot of holistic approaches when appropriate. There are a lot of behind the scenes work and barriers in the medical/healthcare system world that even the best family doctors cannot break and misconceptions, like the ones I listed, are typically a lack of empathy and understanding and are system issues, not doctor issues. Dr. du Plooy is THE BEST.

Dr. Duplooy has been our family Dr. for 22 years. I wouldn’t trust anyone else. He actually cares, is not pompous or closed minded. Sure sometimes the wait is long, but he has stayed late on many occasions for us as well. I’ve told him he isn’t allowed to retire.. ha ha

Dr DuPlooy was an amazing Doctor when he first came to Lloydminster. Now the clinic has him over booked and over worked just to make money. He used to follow up with phone calls now he doesn’t even remember you had tests you have to tell him. Then your while appointment he sits with his head stuck in the computer looking stuff up and grunting at you when you interrupt to ask questions. It takes 6 weeks to get in to him. Useless as a family doctor. He has now simply become a pill pusher for the clinic. What a shame. He was our family doctor since he came to Lloydminster. We have now left that clinic. He should too if he wants to get back to being a real doctor.

He has been my Dr for about 15 yrs. He delivered my last 2 children. He has a way of putting me at complete ease whether it be during a 36 hour labour/delivery or just sitting in his office with a sick child. I greatly appreciate his care, attention, knowledge and wisdom!

The only reason i think Dr. du Plooy is ever behind on appts is that he takes decent ti.e to make sure all questions are answered, listens to you and doesn't rush you put the door. Excellent knowledge.

Has been my Dr. since he arrived in Lloydminster. He is so personable and never makes you feel rushed. He always has a smile and does really care about you. I hope her stay forever or at least as long as I live.
