I wish he had recommended someone else before he retired-the pain clinic in Winnipeg has an 18 month waiting period, makes being in pain even worse than it has to be for seniors.

he was able to resolve a problem that no other doctor was able to diagnose. Very Caring and explained problem well and listened to what I had to say.

After months and months of delay in getting a referral to the Pan Am Clinic from my family doctor and then a CT scan, my appointment with Dr. Cristante was pretty quick. He immediately diagnosed the problem and recommended surgery. Three weeks later he operated and gave me back my life! Immediately upon waking from surgery, I knew everything had been fixed. Three weeks after that, I was back at work. If my family doctor had taken me seriously, I wouldn't have spent two months at home unable to work, walk or sleep, on huge doses of painkillers! Dr. Cristante followed up with a visit in the hospital. I saw his nurse a week later to remove the staples and he made time for an emergency appointment when I had pain three weeks later. He has a great personality, incredible surgical skill and an excellent bedside manner. The surgical, recovery and ward nurses all said he was a superb doctor. I agree!

Dr. Cristante was very thorough. I have had problems with my spine as a result of a horse back riding incident. I was told to have a fusion many years ago. As a result of Dr. Cristante's thoroughness we discovered I had spinal bifida occulta. Not a bad thing per se but if I had had the operation years ago I may have had major problems today. I have been satisfied that the decision made years ago re: fusion operation and not going through with it was a wise one according to the findings of Dr. Cristante. I am happy to just be able to navigate in life regardless of the pain encountered. It is very reasonable to deal with considering the options given to me years ago. Thank you Dr. Cristante!
