Dr. Winer is a very helpful and knowledgeable doctor. His back office staff is wonderful. However, his scheduling staff leaves much to be desired. My husband and I will discontinue going to him because they are rude and extremely unpleasant to deal with, creating barriers to a simple thing like getting any kind of appointment on the calendar. When my husband went for his scheduled 'yearly physical' appointment he was in and out in 5 minutes. When I nicely asked the staff if perhaps the doctor didn't know if it was a yearly physical exam they said 'you scheduled a neuropathy exam'. Before this, I didn't even know what Neuropathy is. I was clear about scheduling a yearly exam (but she kept telling me that wasn't what I said) -- However when I made the original appt, they scheduled an appt for him to have a full blood workup two weeks before the exam. They were nasty about speaking to me or answering my questions when my husband was also on the phone . They were huffy and curt and at one point she even said 'I'm not speaking to you!' They said they would have to speak to the Doctor about this mix up. It wasn't his fault but totally the scheduler. Never again.

Doctor Winer is a kind, knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate gentleman. I have been a second generation patient of his for a number of years. He cared for both of my parents who had varying illnesses. After witnessing the care they received, I decided that this is the Doctor for me! Today we have an excellent Doctor / Patient relationship and would recommend him to anyone who asks.

Very careless and brusque. Made me aware by the way he spoke that I would not have quality care.

Dr. Winer came highly recommended to me and I was very anxious for my appointment with him. While he was not bad, he is a little brusque as a previous poster stated. That I can accept. But he said very little during my annual physical. When I indicated that I knew I needed to loose weight (I'm currently 90 lbs overweight...it's obvious) he said "Yeah, I guess so." That turned me off completely. First, a physician should have addressed that with me first, second, when I mentioned it, I think a better answer...and perhaps some guidance, would have been nice.

Although a little brusque in manner, he is quite intelligent and is very good at his job. Have been patient for many years. Other doctors in the office are also good.
