My husband & I have been with Dr. Carbyn for about 13 years. Now that we are in our senior years our issues are more complex but he still provides the best care possible. We count our blessings that he is always there for us. His receptionist is the best there is. I’ve yet to meet a person in her position treat people with such kindness and respect.

Very knowledgeable. Like most other family doctors you only really get to talk to him about 3 or 4 issues per visit, but he takes each and every one into account. He's understanding and helps you understand why he's prescribing a specific medication for your issue.

We have been with Dr Carbyn for 19 years and we love him. He is compassionate, kind and extremely knowledgeable we receive the best care always. He is very patient and we only get the best care ever and we are very grateful to him. His assistant us a angel and extremely kind. We are blessed to have them in our lives and fir our care.

Non-responsive. No feedback. No diagnosis. Nothing. I ask him for his opinion on something and all there is is silence. Waiting months to even consider treating a serious health condition. Extremely timid to provide effective medications; opting for none or gentle, useless approaches. Never heard a diagnosis ever spoken aloud. Far too 'Zen'. He can meditate and remain mute, as I die. He was good a decade ago. But those days are clearly over.

I'm a newer patient of Dr. Carbyn (have been with him for about 2 years now).
He may be one of the best family Doctors I've ever had, and I've been very fortunate to have great family Doctors my entire life. The office runs so efficiently, they are prompt with appointment times and with bookings, and the receptionist is also amazing. He never makes you feel like what you need is too small or too big and has a very calming approach. I feel lucky to have a family Doctor like Dr. Carbyn as I waiting a long time to find one in NS.

He has gotten lazy, and I often walk out with handouts that I could have googled myself. He sometimes needs to be reminded to inform the results of tests or specialist results.

I've been seeing Dr. Carbyn for at least 15 years now, he is an absolute pro. He is extremely concise, knowledgeable, and open minded. He's great at getting timely referrals to specialists etc. Very calming personality, he is the opposite of an alarmist, always willing to find a solution/treatment. Great with kids as well.
