I had surgery done by him and it was the worst. My skin was saggy. I contacted him and he told me it would be ok. Which didn’t happen. I was then rushed to hospital and they asked what happened. I told them and the doctor at the emerg said dr.Ziesmann botched it. How does a little person like me sue a doctor. I took pictures of my surgery and to this day am not happy with what mess he left on my body.

was apprehensive about seeing this Doctor after reading past reviews. the only issue was 1 1/2 hours late. His assistant created me and was very good. My procedure went very well with no problems. once I saw him he was very personable, informative and compassionate.

Dr. Ziesmann has a horrible bedside manner. He treated me as though I was an inconvenience to him. And he did my procedure without me even being frozen. It was very painful. I do not recommend this doctor.

If I could give a zero or a negative star review I wish I could. As a nurse who has worked with many surgeons and plastic surgeons I would encourage you to protect yourself and your family. DO NOT SEE THIS MAN. He will freeze you but not wait for it to work before he cuts you. He has so much blood loss and had performed the wrong operation on a Number of patients. He doesn’t care and commits fraud with Manitoba Health getting all the revision work done under some fake “medical condition” like a hernia or breast reconstruction since his cosmetic patients hate their outcomes and he has to make it right so they don’t pay more money or sue him. People call him the “teflon don” since no matter how many complaints and lawsuits he has had he finds a way to keep working. Run far away and ask to see someone else if you can referred to him. Any good review on here or anywhere has been written by his staff. If you’ve had a problem with him report him the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.

I had abdominalplasty done by dr Ziesmann. After my surgery I was in no shape to go home from the anesthesia. The nurses woke me up abruptly and walked me out the door where I was falling over. My spouse had to hold my head up because I kept falling asleep and almost hitting my head on the wall. A week after my surgery I texted dr Ziesmann with concerns my stomach tuck was infected. He told me less polysporn which I only had used one day so far. A week went by it didn’t get better my incision was still half open. My belly button was white , puss filled and bleeding and I reached out to dr Ziesmann by text again and he told me not to worry. I ended up getting a second opinion and the doctor told me it was very infected and to take oral antibiotics for a week. After a week of oral antibiotics my stomach tuck was red and swollen and you could see the muscle inside ( the outer layer hadn’t even been sewn. ) I ended up going to my local emergency where they said it was very infected and he should’ve known that from the pictures I sent. I ended up having to go on intravenous antibiotics for over a week. I do not recommend this surgeon.

Dr. seasoning has been doing my cosmetic surgery for five years and I haven’t had a problem. He doesn’t talk to much but he answers everything you ask and he’s great to the point.

The first time I went to see Dr Ziesmann he cut out the wrong spot of cancer from my arm. I had to go a 2nd time, and after I told him he cut out the wrong part last time, he didn't even apologize, he just did the surgery. He did NOT refer to the pictures and measurements my dermatologist had sent him to make sure he cut out the right part this time. He did not explain at any time during the procedure what he was doing, the skin didn't freeze and he started cutting immediately. It hurt so bad. He should not be certified to work on people or animals. He is inconsiderate and not professional at all.

Another one reporting on butchered breast (reduction) surgery. Run! He also refused to see me for "six months" like it was some big "reveal", and not only am I going through many procedures and issues to correct, I am also going through tests that would have been unnecessary if he would have even viewed the surgical area at our one month post-surgery appointment and deal with my raging infection. Since he refused to see the area or see me when I subsequently requested an appointment, my non-plastic-surgeon, Family MD had to provide the anti-biotics and referrals. I had politely (and only twice altogether) called him about it. And I am permanently scarred, with the plastic surgeon who is handling the fixing of this mess saying that I might lose my nipple completely if they try to fix my areola that he wrecked. Plus, I'm now on rounds of Breast Health for the tissue behind that he said couldn't be bad because the pathologist had checked the tissue taken out. Cognitively backwards. The scarring has made the detection of any ancers more difficult, lpossibly because the mammograms weren't taken by him immediately so the situation became worse as the scars got older. .And can't understand why he refused to see the surgical area until "six months", especially after I told him at that appointment that one breast was really larger than the other and hurt badly, especially as there had been no prophylactic antibiotic prescribed by him after the surgery at The Maples Surgical where he apparently operates. All kinds of z-rays, MRI, special x-rays, and now a mammogram where I have to lie still for almost a half hour. Subjecting me to way more radiation than I would ever have expected in a lifetime. And the STRESS of all this for over a year! Any issues should be reported to the Manitoba College of Physicians and Surgeons. At the end of the appointment as we were leaving the small appointment office, , he chuckled and said that he had never had any complaints except for one where he hadn't done the surgery, which was ridiculous, as a check of the Court Registry shows many lawsuits against him, includ8ing one reported in April, 2023. His evidence given at the trial was considered not reliable. His nurse said that I should have looked at his "reviews" online, but he's expected to be reasonably competent as a surgeon, not just ask before the surgery when I was on the gurney "Which breast is bigger"?
