Doctor Mayba is professional and discreet. When examinations and prescriptions are asked for in the correct manner according to the symptoms of a patient he fills out the paperwork promptly and accurately. He does not prescribe anything stronger than T3's for pain but most GP's refer patients with chronic pain to pain clinics. He is fastidious about keeping records. He goes out of his way to accommodate professionals and patients who are busy and flexible. He has many elderly and immigrant patients who seek him out due to his kind and patient demeanor.

Dr. Mayba and his staff are rude and not friendly. The past couple times I've gone to see him it's been over a two hour wait. He has made upsetting, suggestive comments toward me about being addicted to "drugs" when I was transparent with him about doing recreational marijuana on occasion. He records patients symptoms / cases in a recording device and does this in front of the entire waiting room for everyone to hear, violating patient confidentiality. He doesn't appear to be understanding or caring and has answered other calls and texts while I am in the room describing my symptoms. Overall very dissatisfied with Dr. Maybe and his staff, and have left every appointment feeling extremely upset and discouraged.

Not sure why he’s so bitter and unwilling to make references to tests and checks, he won’t listen to the problems I’ve raised regarding numerous medical symptoms affecting one area and brushes it off with different reasoning which change every visit, won’t give me blood tests “because I’m healthy” regardless of the fact that I hadn’t gotten them done in ~6 years and they can screen for many problems. Also, I have wait well over an hour most times I come in

He is nothing but a pill pusher, My wife was on Effexor at 225mg a day max dose, he tried to up her prescription and the pharmacist had to yell at him. Normal dose is 75mg or less. Then he wouldn't fill her prescription and she had to go off cold turkey, which is equivalent of going of a heroin addiction.

Stay away from this quack. He is nothing but a pill pusher.

I have been seeing Dr Mayba for 25 years. He has a very busy practice, and the wait time based on the specific appointment time is always longer than expected. But notwithstanding this, I have found John to be a fantastic. He is genuinely concerned with me and my physical & mental health.

He is my daughter's family doctor and went to see him after having a hemiplegic migraine diagnosed by a numerologist at HSC. Because she could not communicate with him well he proceeded to belittle her by making fun of her symptoms, medical condition and pain. This Dr will to be reported to college regarding his professional ethics. If he is doing this to her how is he treating other clients who can not speak for themselves.

I been a patient with this DR for many years he was very great when he first started but as the years went by he has become bitter mean and cruel. He yells at me at other patients I have seen him yell at a mother in front of her children while she sat there crying and his staff was laughing at it. Tried going to another dr but because I have him as a dr no other dr will take me. I'm stuck with him. If he was trying to do what was right for his patients he would give me and that poor lady to another Dr but he's worried about losing money right not the well being of his patients.
