We were with this office for 9 years- Dr. Rush and his staff are top notch in their extraordinary care, professionalism, and patient education. Always comforting and helpful, it is worth having the patience to accept that this Pediatrician and his staff treat all of their patients and families with quality healthcare services and maintain excellence in all aspects of the practice. They are consistent in fulfilling needs and requirements on levels of healthcare in order to achieve complete care for all of their patients. It was not often that I would have a short wait, always well worth it, rather than to be treated like a number to be rushed in and out....I would consider commuting hours in order to bring my children back to Dr. Rush and his staff. Love, love, love them all.

After reading some of the other reviews - I had to write one myself. We've been with Dr. Rush for 17 years (my oldest is 17, youngest 12) I LOVE Dr. Rush. He is very accommodating, appointments as early as 5:45am, makes my children very comfortable, and I don't mind the extra questions when you call the advise nurse, I like that they are thorough. I haven't ever felt that frustrated trying to get through, especially when you are in the office, and the staff is working hard there's little idle chit chat (THAT drives me crazy!) But Dr. Rush diagnosed my daughter with a condition at 9 months, that isn't usually diagnosed until symptomatic (around the age of 12). We moved 30 miles away and still bring our kids in to see him, we could live 250 miles away, and we'd still come! I also like that he doesn't over proscribe antibiotics. I highly recommend Dr. Rush.

I was recommended to Dr Rush over a year ago, when we moved, by my previous pediatrician whom I loved. Dr Rush makes both of my children laugh and they really enjoy their visits. He's relaxed, has a great demeanor , and always has time to answer my questions. The negative is the phone service. Unless you know the "trick" it's extremely frustrating to try and get through on the phone. His staff is not very friendly and really made me consider switching. If my boys didn't like him so much I would.

OMG--No one and I mean no one is worth going through this to get an appointment when your baby is sick and you are scared. It's cruel and I would never ever go back. I read online that he misdiagnosed a child that led to a death and a lawsuit, so I am glad we got out of there in one piece. My new doctor is caring and kind, no one has ever rolled their eyes when I ask a "stupid (aka new mom) question like at Dr Rush's office. I can call my pediatrican and get in the same day if I need to--that's what a pediatrician is supposed to offer--anyone who accepts less for their kids is nuts.

I switched to Dr. Rush right before the birth of my son. Our first meeting was at the hospital. He was very relaxed, took the time to answer my questions, great bed side manner. In the office Dr. Rush is amazing. I love our appointments. I am not a fan of the process to get into his office. I am overly annoyed by the advice nurse who asks a million questions. Really for all the time I spend on the phone let me come in. If I didn't really enjoy Dr. Rush I would switch to a multi dr. practice.

We have used Dr Rush for 13 years. When we first joined the practice it was wonderful. The staff wasn't as wonderful but you overlooked it because Dr.Rush is such a great dr.Within the last 2 years it has progressively gotten worse. You wait on hold for 25-35 minutes and the staff is very rude.Last month my son had an appt.He is required to take penicilian before each appt. When I went to pick up the prescription I was told it was denied by the dr office. When I called to find out why, the office manager informed me that my children had missed both of their year checkups and they were both dropped from the practice.I informed her that both appt. were cancelled 4 weeks prior to the appt.with the front desk person and in 13 years had never been late or missed an appt. that if I had missed both appt.I would think they would take the last 13 years into consideration and know that that was not our history to just miss appt.I'm sure Dr Rush is not aware of what his staff is doing to his practice

Dr. Rush was originally recommended to us by several nurses at the hospital where we did birthing classes. He has been our pediatrician for nearly seven years for both our children, and we love him. He has a great bedside manner with the kids and always takes time to listen and to answer our questions. We saw his partner once and would not use him again, but we recommend Dr. Rush to all our friends.

Told me I needed to do first dental apointment at age 3. Then at age 3 my daugther needed 5 fillings in her bottom teeth :(, because her bottom teeth were so rough it was hard to clean good even though we brushed every day. They could have given her a protection much earlier before the cavities. At the dental office it also said the first visit should be at age 1. He should have known this and should have seen this on her teeth as well. So, obviously he doesn't really have a clue. Then, he also told me I needed to do first eye exam at age 3. Now at age 3 I find out my daughter needs glasses. If I had been there much earlier it would have been better, maybe at age .5 or 1. This is the last time I've listened to a doctor, because obviously if you don't do it yourself and learn it all yourself, it won't get done correctly. Now my daughter need glasses, the specialist said she needs +6 in both eyes.

Dr. Rush is a wonderful doctor, very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. His office staff, however, brings his whole practice down. Expect 20-45 minute HOLD times on the phone just to schedule an appt and a very rude office team when you do finally talk to them. We have decided to switch docs, even though Dr. Rush himself is great, because the office staff/wait time is so awful. After all, I guess they're helpfulness is just as important as his. As the parent of a newborn, I need to feel confident that his office cares about my questions, is considerate of my time and has answers (or knows how to find them) to my questions. In this case, none of that.
