Worst doctor I ever met. No concern at all for me or my health. The advice I received was lackluster. Saw another doctor and rec'd confirmation of this. Avoid at all costs.

I came to see Dr. Anna Vertkin with a simple intestinal issue, and ended up injured and requiring surgery which would not have been needed if I hadn't seen Dr. Vertkin and allowed her to work on me. I reached out to her office and got an earful from someone named Jim Goldberg, who responded to my concerns by threatening me. I've since been in contact with other victims of this same person who have started an online complaint forum at james robert goldberg dot com. I highly recommend you do not see this MD as she is clearly troubled and injurious. I've filed a complaint with the state licensing people and everywhere else I can think of. Victimizing patients who are simply seeking help is ugly at best.

The worst ever, especially her management. I went away worse off than when I arrived. Find another doctor. Her staff is a nightmare.

Dr. Vertkin demonstrated no care or concern for our dear mother, who we brought to see her near the end of her life. Dr. Vertkin performed a colonoscopy for our 96-year-old mother, for no reason at all. We begged her not to do this, but she did anyway, insisting it was routine protocol. Mom never came back to life after that, perishing at the hands of this doctor. We are heartbroken. Our dear mother was everything to us. To see her so disrespected only so that this doctor could make a profit is horrifying. We've enlisted the help of a lawyer to file a lawsuit for medical malpractice. I've read other reviews about how people's intestinal tract ruptured because of careless work by this same MD.

Dr. Vertkin is the best after going through so many Dr.s , she was the one that came with the conclusion that there was something very wrong with my Thyroid , surely enough I had Thyroid Cancer! She is the best she referred me to someone else. She is the best Presbyterian has !

Did not show interest or concern regarding my illness. No follow up call or appointment after procedures. staff was not very sensitive to clients needs. Will be finding another Dr. very poor client care.

Dr. Vetkin is fabulous. All the members of my family have been treated by Dr. Vertkin and have had an excellant experience. Dr. Vertkin is very knowledgeable, takes time with each patient and has been very helpful in her tretment of us.

SHE DOES WHAT'S RIGHT FOR YOU AT A PATIENT--AND PERSON! Dr. Vertkin treats every individual as a human being. I have personally recommended friends to her, and all have been helped. DR VERTKIN LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE. I had very, very bad colitis, and nearly died. Before I saw her, the top gastroenterologist in San Francisco gave me no hope, and literally left me to die from blood loss. He was impossible to contact, would make me wait for hours and see me for maybe 5 minutes. Dr. Vertkin, on the other hand, was actually caring, and gave me HOPE. She said, "you can be well again," and I hadn't been to another doctor who made me think that was a possibility! And--she followed up with a regimen that now has me in endoscopic remission--for almost 10 years. She reads everything, and really knows what works, even if they're not treatments that make drug companies rich. She is a rare doctor who both cares--and knows what she's doing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER.
