Love Dr.Katz and Wendy(NP). They are both very knowledgeable and efficient. I have been going for several years and can tell you they don't mess around with nonsense. They are very thorough and their top concern is your health. That's the kind of Doctor I want treating me. Wendy is kind, gentle, and calls back quickly with test results. If you want a Dr. that will treat you and make sure you are taken care of then this is the office for you. No coddling here, but who needs coddling when you are dealing with your health.

Dr Katz is an incredible doctor. Saved my and my baby's life during my first pregnancy. That said, she's also a total jerk. Has horrible bedside manner and made me cry on two occasions during my second pregnancy. I would only go to her again if I was high risk. Also, west hills is a horrible hospital.

I have beeen going to Dr. Katz for over 28 years! I think she is very smart and I appreciate her aggressive straight-forwardness when it comes to childbirth and any complication that may arise. She doesn't sugar-coat things. I appreciate that. I've experienced a wonderful bedside manner from her. Maybe because I've known her for so long. She delivered 3 of my 4 children. She is a no-nonsense doctor. I would trust her with my life and the life of my children. Yes she is tough and strict, but that is exactly the type of person I want on my side. She gets the job done and done right!! I've sent friends and family members to her and they have the same opinions as I do. If you want a doctor that is sweeetsie sweeetsie, this doctor is NOT for you. If you want someone who is brilliant at what she does and confident, then she IS the one for you.

Dr katz dealt with my high risk pregnancy by stressing me out more and was outright rude and in some case made racial remarks i was astounded by this inhuman way to treat patients coming frm a doc! Not a friendly nice doctor but gets the job done by bullying you and others. Knows her stuff,can be helpful on a good day. Helpd me to full term and delivered my healthy son so im grateful but wasnt happy with the overall way i was treated.

If you want a cookie-cutter pregnancy and if you like to do what someone tells you to do and when to do it with no questions asked, then this is the Dr. for you. However, if you have questions and want to have an active role in your pregnancy and god forbid you ever decide to skip a "routine" test that is not mandatory, then the whole office will look at you with a "huh?" look on their face and you will have to explain things that are simple at least 3 times before they understand that a change needs to be made and that you have a brain and thoughts of your own. This office does things in one way and one way only, just like soldiers, and if you make them steer from their normal routine, then they get all confused and flustered. Also be prepared to not see Dr. Katz until your second visit there, and you will only see her during every other visit because they switch between her (the delivering dr) and the nurse practitioner (non-delivering dr), which to me is pointless.

When I went to the emergency room hospital due to pain, I found I had a tumor. They called my dr, Dr. Katz, who had me come in the next day with no appt. She immediately arranged for me to have a CT-scan, some blood work done, and to see an Oncologist. She had arranged for all this to be done for me within a day of me finding out I had a tumor. She saved my life. She cares for her patients! She is there to make sure no matter what, we get the necessary care to make sure we are ok. I will never go to any other Dr.

Bad bedside manners, but she's VERY smart and someone I highly recommend. She saved my mother's life. Yes, you wait forever, but that's not unusual at Dr's offices. She has a lot of patients because she's a great OB/GYN. If you want someone who will treat you like a best friend then you should probably go to someone else, but if you want a doctor who knows what she is doing and is no nonsense than give Dr. Katz a shot.

This is a doctor you can count on day or night with expertise and patience and time. She also takes her time with the patient and that is why you have to wait usually. She treats you like she would like to be treated and keeps you informed. She was extremely helpful before and after my hysterectomy for uterine cancer. She expedited my biopsy and notified me the following evening of the results. Highly recommend her.

Although the Dr may be good, I would not rate her the best. But the worst part is , West Hills hospital has worse OB GYNs than her. He staff is rude and doesnt even bother to get back to you with lab results until you call 4-5 times. Wait times are over 40 minutes. I went through C - section just because Dr. Katz said that the heart rate was dropping - dont know how much truth is in that. Anyways - now I am pregnant with my second one and either I need to find someone better than her or she and her staff need to step up. I think the latter has more chances.
