Dr Kustka is a very rare find and in my opinion one is fortunate to be here client! The wait times can be long, but my previous Doctor who was the head of family practice at Sunnybrook Hospital, was just as long. A very good doctors takes the necessary time to consider each patients needs which is the most important factor.
Dr Kustka has always been through, orders all the necessary tests, and recommends the appropriate specialists.
She also has extensive experience with alternative medicine and most people go to her for this reason. Extra fees for additional knowledge, experience, and care, are an appropriate method of compensation that is widely used by all professionals today. The annual fee is a small price to pay for this rare and comprehensive service!

I have been going for over 10 years and finally left due to her "wait and see" attitude which cause numerous health issues for me long term . Very rude receptionists with a high turn over. Waiting up to 2 hours past my appointment time. Was consistently told I'd get better advice from her if only I was part of her special club who pays her a $100 year for special treatment and advice. I now have numerous nodules on my thyroid and see an oncologist 2x year and have an unhealed torn up shoulder because she wouldn't send me for tests or to a specialists when I asked. Do not waste your time with her, you'll be putting your health at risk.

After many years of visiting this doctor I have had enough and will never go back. I was on a wait list for a long time to see her because people said she is so experienced/knowledgeable, will talk about natural health as well. Well time after time- ALL my appointments over 10 years were terrible. I kept going back thinking it was a one off. From rude receptionists, to waiting over 2 hours past appointment times only to receive the consistantly uncaring attitude of this doctor. Her wait and see about my conditions caused me tremendous problems. NO COMPASSION, No interest and no follow ups.... for what your going though. Please retire before you hurt someone.

My daughter and I have been patients of Dr Kustka for almost 20 years. We have found her to be very professional, very thorough in her questioning to get to the bottom of an issue. Dr Kustka is able to determine how the symptoms relate and get to the appropriate tests and treatments that deal with many of our issues. Hiccups like wait times and administrator behaviours have never kept us away from what is important to us, the great care she has always provided for myself and daughter. Patiently waiting gave us opportunities to relax and read. Her knowledge and interest in complementary medicine and allopathic medicine is a good blend for my family. We very much appreciate her type of care.

Dr. Kustka doesn't give a ____ about her patients. It's just about the money for her. She is always overbooked and you will wait a minimum of 2 hours for your appointment, and the receptionists are exceptionally rude as well.

What's unforgivable is that she "missed" that my mother has sleep apnea. I say "missed" because she never checked for it or even brought it up. My mother would've died a premature death if she stayed with Dr. Kustka and didn't leave for a second opinion. She is good for holistic stuff but she is totally incompetent as a doctor.

Dr. Sonja Kustka has been our family doctor for the past 15 years. All interactions have been positive and we love that we have never felt rushed. Wait times are long sometimes but I suppose it’s just the nature of the business. A very pleasant office!

This doctor should be kicked out of this profession... I switched from an excellent family doctor that I had for over 30 years to Dr. Kustka upon a recommendation from a client, only to find out what a gigantic mistake I had made. In the over 8 years of seeing her, referrals to “specialists” were a joke... they all should have been retired individuals, don’t think they even knew what they were doing, her diagnosis was always made off the top of her head without even touching me... once had a concussion, huge lump on my head... did not even get up from her chair and told me to take Tylenol... and I can go on and on... Total waste of time!!!

In early August of 2016 my ex-wife visited Dr. Kustka who had been her family doctor for many years as she was feeling inexplicably tired. Bloodwork was done. When she called in the weeks after to ask about the results and was treated as if she was a bother. When she finally received the results it was determined she had a low white blood cell count. Dr. Kustka then advised her to run the blood work again in a month or so. The ultimate results were an even lower white blood cell count. She followed up multiple times over the next few weeks asking for a referral to a hematologist and was treated like she was a hassle. An appointment was finally made for her for January of 2017. In late November 2016 her energy level dropped so low that we decided as a family we couldn’t wait any longer and went to emergency. Within hours it was determined she had leukemia. She was admitted directly from emergency and chemo started two days later. She would have died waiting for her January appointment. After a fourteen month battle she passed away in March of 2018. A precious four months was wasted through Dr. Kustka’s office when the disease was still in its infancy, a period of time her oncologist referred to as “a tragic series of events and responses”. When a low white blood cell comes in, it should raise immediate alarm bells with any doctor. If “the system” is at fault she should have suggested we go to emergency when we received the results of the first blood sample instead of leaving it with us to figure out. Maybe the end result would have been the same, we’ll never know. Our teenage daughter is now without a mother and I doubt Dr. Kustka is even aware that her patient passed away.

Dr Kustka is a nice person... her time is sparse, quick to prescribe "wholistic" cream, and pills than she charges $ 100, just had 2 visits. But why is she charging extra?? WAITING TIME OVER 2 HOURS

She used to be fantastic, then something happened in her life perhaps, but now she doesn't seem to give a hoot. I've waited in her office for hours (never been served even remotely on time) to be ushered in and out in less than 5 minutes. My annual physical + pap was 17 minutes. I know she's very knowledgable, but has become particularly far from thorough and didn't seem to care much about patients at all. My whole family stopped going because were all feeling that way.
