I've known Dr. Arbitman for a few years now and I find her to be compassionate and caring. If you can't see her on her scheduled appointment availabilities you can call the office to get one that works for you - just let the staff know your situation. She listens to your concerns and tries her best to give you the best care she can and if she doesn't know then she will find out and get back to you. Sometimes she's very busy so you have to be patient but she does care. If you have any issues with anything you can bring it up to her and she will do her best to rectify any missunderstandings. She cares about doing what's in the best interest of her patients.

Dr. Arbitman is very pleasant and she came recommended, however it took 9 months to get my first appointment at the urgency of a hospital doctor. At our first appointment she said she will only deal with the most urgent issue and later we will have a full check up and review and get to know each other. That was nearly 4 years ago. Trying to get an appointment is very difficult. When I finally do and I'm on time she hasn't even arrived at the office. I know because I see her waking in nearly 1/2 hr after my appointment time. Then even though I've used the portal to explain what the appointment is about she has no clue and anything we talked about from before she gets half wrong and she has to correct her notes. She will only speak to one thing per appointment. Last time I had a serious issue with pain in my chest between the time I requested an appointment and the actual appointment day, but she just got up and walked out as I started to talk about it. I asked her to just check my blood pressure or send me for a referral and she said sorry we can't discuss this as I do t have time and that I would need to make another appointment to address it. By then our appointment lasted no longer than 13 minutes and half of that was used up by her correcting her notes. I timed out appointment. I couldn't believe that she would just dismiss me pain and walk away. I'm a single mom and getting appointments during times my kids are school is hard enough let alone making another appointment to discuss my heart pain. That same day I went back in the patient portal asking for another appointment..I never got a response or appointment. I ended up going to a walk-in clinc. I got my referral with a specialist and it was serious enough to go to hospital for testing that same night. On another occasion a follow up on blood work went unaddressed. I ended up in the hospital going thru emergency.

It's been very frustrating. I shouldn't have to go to a walk-in clinic or hospital to get care that my family doctor should be addressing. She's very sweet to talk to but I feel she only wants to deal with simple things that don't require research, follow up or referrals. On multiple occasions she would tell me that she will get back to me because she doesn't know what kind of treatment I should get but it took weeks and that's after I followed up a d even then she would say there's no treatment and that would be the end of it. Sometimes she assured me 100% on some information and after I leave her office it turns out she was wrong and I was mislead and nowhere to turn to except a walk in clinic. In my experience she's only been interested in charging OHIP for multiple visits even if it delays health care.

Like I said she's very sweet but not what one would expect from a doctor. My care has been delayed or neglected or not taken seriously. I'm looking for a new doctor.

Dr. Arbitman is good sometimes, other times she is very rushed. However, my biggest concern with her is when you mention something is bothering you/hurts, not feeling well she just brushes it off without sending you for testing. A lot of the time she attributes it to young age which is not a good reason to dismiss genuine concerns. Her staff are very unorganized and don't have a clue what's going and make lots of mistakes.

I recently switched family doctors and couldn't be happier with Dr. Arbitman. Wait time is not too long, and she is efficient. She takes the time to talk to you when needed. Was so shocked when she personally called me back regarding test results and to follow up on how I was feeling. So happy I switched doctors.

I love her!!!! My sister and I could not be happier with her as our doctor. She gets to know you on a personal level so you are not just another faceless patient. She spends time diagnosing and never makes you feel rushed.

Dr. Arbitman often dismisses ailments as minor problems without taking the time to futher investigate possible problems or send you for further tests. I came in numerous times with chronic pain that she dismissed. When seen by other physician they asked why my doctor had not sent me already for further testing. The tests later detected that I needed surgery.

Dr. Arbitman is amazing! Great bedside manner and she genuinely cares about her patients and takes the time to listen to them. Since I have moved she is a 2 hour bus ride away but I refuse to see anyone else. She stayed by my side throughout a year of severe pain and moved mountains to help me

Dr. Arbitman is fantastic. Always helpful, knowledgeable, and approachable. I have been her patient for 10 years and can't wait to have her deliver my future children! I keep moving further north, but make the drive down to Thornhill no matter what. She is fantastic.
