PRICELESS!! this man delivered my first 2 kids and then stopped doing OB. after my last baby i switched back to him for my GYN. very thorough and knowledgeable, funny best bed side manner. i trust him enough to deliver me at home. hes perfect!

OMG, this was the best doctors visit I have had in some time! I was treated like I was the only person there. He sat with me for over thirty minutes going over each and every problem that had not been dealt with by any other doctor I have seen in 5 years. Wow, what more can I say!

Sorry to disappoint the previous comments. This doctor has a woman in charge of his office, I believe, his wife, who employs, I believe, her mother -- the doctor's mother-in-law. The office pace does not run professionally, unless the patient is favored by the doctor's wife, AKA "office manager. Quite unprofessional. For medicine, I am not interested in a "mom & pop" show.

Dr Koons, What can I say, he is amazing, He delivered my last daughter, he then delivered two of my Grandchildren, I am so sad that he no longer delivers babies, you could not ask for a more caring individulal, he treats you like you are his only patient and spends as much time with you as necessary, never leaving you to feel that he has a waiting room with other patients.When my daughter gave birth at Fairfax Inova Hospital, the nurses were all raving about how much they love working with him, his cool and calm demeanor puts you at ease, my daughter had to have a C-Section and his compassion was a class act, he even came to find me in the smoking area to tell me how well the delivery had gone,that will always stay with me, I will continue to see him until he retires, as will my daughters, I wouldn't trust their care to anyone else, I hope he continues to practice for many years to come.

I love this man. I am deeply disappointed that he no longer does OB work and I have to find a new doctor. I will return as soon as I have my baby!

I went to Dr. Koons 20 years ago, when I was a young woman. He treated me for 5 years, and remembered me each time I came to his office. He was the best OB/GYN I've ever been to, and I was heartbroken when we moved from the area and I couldn't use him anymore. I have four children delivered by other doctors, and none of them compared. Out of the probable 15 OB/GYNs I've seen through the years, I've never forgotten him. I just discovered he's still practicing, and read the reviews, and I'll add my two cents to them. He's the best - funny, kind, upbeat, gentle, and makes you forget about the stirrups. Go see him before he retires....

Dr. Koons is the BEST doctor I have ever seen. On my first visit he made observations that I had been trying to DRAG out of other doctors for years. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and very funny. You can tell he loves what he does and it is definitely reflected in his practice. He puts you completely at ease, as does everyone on his staff. He takes time with you to answer any questions, make sure you understand everything, and really involve you in your own care. My first visit, I was treated like I had been going there for years. I have recommended him to several friends and family members who are just as impressed. I can't say enough good things.

My family doc had recommended Dr. Koons, as he had delivered my family doc's own children as well. It appears as though a lot of physicians choose him as their Obstetrician, so that says a lot. Dr. Koons is really the best doctor that I've ever had... ever. His staff is extremely kind and responsive, and he is very knowledgeable and compassionate. When I miscarried in my first pregnancy, I got a call back from him within minutes of getting my radiology results. When my sister went in for a 39 week checkup and realized that she needed an emergency c-section, everybody in the staff came out beaming and gave her a good luck hug. It is service like this that is hard to find anywhere else.

Choosing at doctor for my husband is a two or three weeks research and when he found me Doc Koons I knew that he was good, but when I met him I learned that he was THE BEST, period. He really cares for his patients, he is very professional and he really knows his stuff. I was a little concerned the first time because i didn't like male docs but he made me feel very comfortable and relaxed, he is not in a rush like other doctors, he's also very funny, and he treats you like you're being going there for years, my husband and I really enjoyed the visits. The other two doctors are very great too. They really made me feel that they were taking care of me and my baby, and they responds your calls really quickly. The staff are great also, very friendly. I'd recomend this practice 100%, you'll love them and I'll definitely go again for my next pregnancy.

I switched to Dr. Koons at the end of my last pregnancy. He is a great Dr. I am now pregnant again and seeing his office as well. There are 3 Dr.'s and each and every one of them are great. Dr. Koons is very caring and takes time for each patient. He does not rush the appointments at all. They came to see my everyday when I had my csection to check on me. I would never see another Dr's office again.
