I had a high risk pregnancy due to high blood pressure and a small amount of preeclampsia during my 3rd trimester, I had to deliver early. Labor and delivery traumatized me. Another provider delivered my baby, however mentioned to the LPN after delivery that the sheers and knife used to help cut me was not sharp, so she could not have cut me to help my during my difficulty pushing. The LPN had to jump on top of me and push down on my stomach which made me unable to breathe. I grabbed my husband and yelled out loud that I could not breathe. The LPN just kept pushing on my stomach and the delivery doctor pulled my baby out. It was a HORRIBLE experience! My baby was rushed to the NICU. They refused to have me see my child stating that I was a unhealthy patient and until my BP went down, I can’t be with my child. The next day, I was notified that my child would be transferred out of state because they couldn’t house a premature baby.

I waited 3 days, the 4th day I met Dr. Sou Sou. He was an unpleasant doctor right from the moment he walked in the door. No sympathy for a woman who had just delivered a baby. His colleagues told me I would be discharged since my BP went down. However, he disagrees and states that I was a very sick patient and I can not leave and to give it time. My spouse asked him how much time and he said he doesn’t know. I had to argue and demand my patient rights to refuse on going service to be discharged. Dr Sou Sou then questioned am I requesting to be discharged to go out of state to be with my baby. I told him it is none of his concern. They had me hooked up to 2 IV’s, a leg massager, and a heart monitor. The nurses never listened when I requested to shower. I spent 4 days in bed with swollen hands from lab drawls and swollen feet from lack of exercise. I was terrified to even eat. Dr. Sou Sou had the nerve to tell me as long as I am eating, I’m not going to die.

To this day I refuse any on going care from Mayo La Crosse OB.

Dr. Sousou did an excellent job of diagnosing and treating a condition that had manifested itself in an unusual way. He was courteous, friendly, tactful, and professional throughout my visits, and he always explained things well. He was also skilled and quite kind when a rather painful procedure was needed to confirm the diagnosis. I felt completely comfortable with his whole approach and definitely trust his judgment and recommendations.

Very terrible doctor he was unsympathetic and was no help when I needed help the most. Many people I know have also had issues with him. Would not recommend and would not ever work with him again.

The day I finally decided after 2 years of horrible periods I needed to see someone I made an appointment with a female doctor. I ended up changing the time I get in sooner and my only option was to see a male doctor. I am so glad I did this or I would have never met Dr sousou. I ended up having to have a hysterectomy and I am only 36 years old. I was scared, nervous and didn't know what to expect. This man took the time to explain everything to me. With Uber confidence and a gentle bedside Manor I left feeling that I was in the best hands I could possibly be in going through this process. Right before surgery he came into my room and held my hand and told me everything will be ok and he will be right there when I woke up. And he was. He managed my pain other his excellent nursing staff

I was not a regular patient of Dr. Sousou's. He delivered my son. I have to tell you that this man is generally lacking in bedside manner. I was trying to explain to him during my labor that the Epidural had failed and I basically just got an eyeroll response from him and his staff. Birth is one of the most vulnerable times in a woman's life and I truly felt ridiculed.

Dr Sousou seemed in a hurry of some sort. I felt he made light of my concerns about the possibility of cancer with the suggested HRT, even though I explained that two of my siblings have died from cancer in the last few years. He was unable to clearly answer my questions about HOW the suggested prescription would work and he was very rough during the pelvic exam. I was surprised at his almost condescending attitude, and I will not go back to him and I will not recommend him either. Health care is an expensive proposition and I will choose how/where to spend those dollars and will insist on respectful and supportive care.

I was a patient of Dr. Sousou for years in New Jersey. I was so sad to see him move away. He was so knowledgable and kind. I had some serious issues over the years and he extremely thorough and I always felt confident I was in good hands. Moreover, I worked for a hospital and came highly recommended by his fellow doctors. I realized many female doctors and male doctors wives were patients of Dr. Sousou. I was impressed that professionals trusted him and gave me a huge comfort level.
