I like her staff. The dr.doesn't listen, sits and types her own comments with her back to me,which makes this doctor useless. I requested a test since Jenny just drew 3 vials of blood. I got a response of "we'll talk about it Monday" meaning I would need to get the tests done again -after I paid for a physical. Who has time for that? I'm looking for another doctor.

Dr. Smelkinson has been MIA during Covid-19. I might even say she has abandoned her patients. No offers of telehealth. Often her phone line goes straight to voice menu stating to call back some other time with no one answering during office hours. Terrible response during these difficult times.

Doctor takes her time to fully examine you. The nurse, Carol, can be cranky but can also be kind a funny. I go here for the doctors care and tolerate the nurse who may have more bad days than good. The receptionist, Susan, is always kind and helpful. Based solely on the Doctor I would recommend Dr. Smelkinson. She listens and is thorough and recommends additional tests if needed. I think she provides quality care with compassion and knowledge.

The doctor is really understanding and takes her time with you. Its again to bad that her nurse Carol continues to make you feel like an idiot. Staff from other Doctors also have difficulty with her attitude and lack of being professional and curtious.

I agree that the nurse Carol can be a grouch. It is generally a minor nuisance. The important thing is that the doctor doesn't rush through the patient.

Dr. Smelkinson is great and I continue to go to her despite her staff. They are rude, uncooperative, difficult and angry. Such a decline in service since Shannon left the practice. They must be cheap otherwise why would a doctor keep them? They reflect poorly on the Dr. but I still like her.
