Dr. Fermelia is a great man with a great heart. He is very educational and I love that he loves to teach through the process. He will even grab a piece of paper and draw an actual picture to help someone better understand. I was a patient of his for ten years and he still follows up with me via social media. He is a great guy with great faith and love for his patients and friends and family. The man is honest and through and sometimes it’s hard for people to hear the truth but I would much rather hear the truth then have it sugar coated. Thank you for everything Dr. Fermelia!

Demeans young adults who have gone through life changing events, while making big money off of obesity. He was the ER doc on call. I would never go to this arrogant, condescending doctor. I don't know about his staff, but I was forced to give a rating.

Seemed very comitted to me at first, until I had the surgery. The night I had surgery, my urine bag became so full I felt like I had to use the restroom so badly. Called the nurse & it took over 1/2 an hr plus a call from my EMT/Firefighter son to get it taken care of. Same thing the next night, only I had to go to the restroom and needed to be unhooked from all the gadgets. My son stayed the night & took care of it because no one ever responded to my call. Day of discharge, Dr. Fermilia was 4 hours late to discharge me. I have suffered severe/bleeding ulcer since (not his fault) however, his nurse swears I'm a drinker and a smoker. Which I only drink water (not even Crystal Light), the mere thought of alcohol turns my stomach. Smoking......disgusting. My parents smoked in the house, I'm so against it no one is allowed near my house if they are a smoker and I can smell it a mile away. I feel like the nurse is protecting him not helping me and all I want is help with this ulcer.

I went into the ER with such dibilitateing lower abdominal pain that my husbend had to carry me in. After the hospital held me for 9 hours without any pain medication Fermilia came down to do an apendectomy. My husbend was not notified during or after the surgery that I had trouble while on the table and had been on a ventilator in recovory. The morning after my surgery he told me that the surgery proved to be a waste of time as my apendex was completely healthy and the pain I was feeling was NORMAL OVULATION pain. When I pointed out that I'm 27 and have had 2 children not to mention that I had already ovulated this month he yelled at me and told me I needed a phyce evaluation as he LAUGHED at me on his way out of my hospital room. I don't know how he has maintained a license.

Waking up after over 2.1 hours of surgery with two inguinal hernia repairs and one umbilical hernia repair there were only a few nurses present and Dr, Fermelia was NOT there. I was very concerned about this and I expected a call at home very soon but only a nurse called me several days later for a check up. I contacted the office about a week before I returned to work to report that I had numbness and burning in my legs above my knees since the surgery. I thought that it was a reaction to the oxycodone that was prescibed for me but the condition continued after the medication was gone. Dr Fermilia raised his voice to me while we were alone in his office in a very intimidating manner about it and said he could see nothing wrong with me. He told me to go back to work. He sent me to a neurologist in the same building, on the same floor, and just down the hall from where I had my surgery. Since they could not see me for well over a month I went back to work as he suggested. The hard labor

Returning patient but did not research/review patient record regarding family members before surgery & left family members in waiting room for over 3 hours AFTER surgery was performed & then made excuse after excuse the following day to family members as to why they were not met with or informed after the surgical procedure. His communication skills are nil.
