Asked my teenage daughter if she was "too vain" to wear glasses vs contact lenses. Perhaps he could consider asking instead of assuming why a patient would prefer one vs the other, rather than projecting his mysogyny on a teenaged girl. How unprofessional and disappointing.

Took my son to Dr. May's office for a stye in January. He saw Dr. Morales at that time, she said the stye was draining and should be better in a couple weeks. Never got better. So took him back in June (away at college reason it took so long). This time saw Dr. May, he said it would require surgery and scheduled it for the following week. He performed the surgery and said it should be healed in a couple weeks with no stye and if it wasn't to come back and there would be "NO CHARGE"! Waited a month and stye was still there, so called and set up another appointment. This time Dr. May said another doctor would have to perform another surgery and a biopsy! Which they are now going to charge me for! What happened to the "NO CHARGE?!" So I will have paid for 5 office visits, 2 surgeries and a biopsy to REMOVE A STYE!! On top of that I asked the lady at the desk if she could give some idea how much this would cost? She became rude and said NO, we have NO IDEA! I said isn't there a code you give the insurance company that it will be billed under? I know that's what my dentist does. Her response, "We"re not a dentist office!" So when I got home I called my insurance company and they said they definitely could give her what it would cost with a code! So it's going to end up costing me thousands of dollars to REMOVE A STYE!! Thought they were good doctors. Boy was I fooled! SCAMMERS!!!

Ronald May is one of the top opthamologists in the area. He has his own practice in Deerfield and has an office at Lake Forest Hospital. It's difficult to find an appointment with him because he's such a popular doctor! He's also an excellent physician. He cares about his patients, always talks, does a good careful job, and will answer just about any question. He's also an extremely friendly guy. He's not interested in making his wallet fatter, he's more interested in taking care of his patients. If you're in the area and want to find a good opthamologist, he's a great one. Just be sure to schedule an appointment months ahead!
