Would not recommend this doctor to anyone. You may be able to easily get an appointment with her because no one wants to see her and she has a lot of cancellations as other doctors become available. She does not understand that patients and their preferences for treatment come first over her own opinions which she will try to impose on you even if they are not in your best interest. She has no problem arguing with patients and talking about your personal information outside of the exam room for all to hear.

Dr. Shapiro was very quick but she performed a gynecological exam so quickly and roughly that I was sore for two days. I felt like I had been stabbed. Terrible experience with follow up staff - I've suffered with cysts on by breast for over a year and all they ever do is call me in for the Ultrasound and later I get a letter that says it isn't cancerous. No discussion of diet, birth control problems, etc. Very informal and worthless time has been spent with this Womancare institution for 18 months.
