I made an appointment 2 month in advance to see Dr Thompson for annual check up. The first thing she asked when she walked in was why I was there. After telling her for a physical, she told me it takes too long and that she does not have time to do it.

I have been looking for a good doctor in the DC-area for almost 10 years now, and I finally found her. Dr. Thompson is a wonderful doctor. I could not recommend her more highly. She is gentle and kind and is willing to spend time with her patients, a rarity in today's world. (At a recent physical, she spent 45 minutes with me!) She is also knowledgable and careful, looking up drugs to check for interactions and to ensure that they are the most appropriate to prescribe. Her staff is also great. When I first came to the office, I had not formally changed from my old doctor, and her assistant advised me to call and do it from the waiting room while the doctor waited so as not to get charged the full cost of the visit. I wish all doctors were like this!

Outstanding. Has been our family doctor for over 3 years now, and everyone loves her. She goes out of her way to help, and truly cares about us. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a primary care doctor.

Dr. Thompson is excellent. She asks all the right questions and takes great time and care in discussing your health - and, ironically, I've never waited longer than 10 minutes for my appointments - I've been a patient for over 2 years. Her assistant, Anjuman, is equally wonderful - she single-handedly helped me settle multiple insurance issues. Dr. T offers suggestions for alternative health remedies as well as providing referrals & prescriptions for traditional treatments. I highly recommend her as a physician.

I am absolutely thrilled with Dr. Thompson! She was so kind and thoughtful to me, really took the time to listen, and helped me through a very difficult time. She even called up specialists on my behalf and got me into appointments that I couldn't do myself. I think she's wonderful, and I highly recommend her : )

The negative posts on Dr. Thompson must be about another Dr. Thompson, because I feel Linda Thompson is an excellent doctor. She is very courteous and kind with an empathy I have honestly never seen before from a doctor. The admin staff are also efficient, polite and so much better than what I have seen during my 15 years in the Washington area. I recommend her office wholeheartedly.

I agree with the negative posts. Dr. Thompson is convenient to go to since she is so close to my office but she is horrible. She is judgemental, rude, has an annoying tick and overall obnoxious. I have to wait like an hour every time I go visit and then she says she is going to call in prescriptions but she doesn't until I throw a fit on the phone with her rude and incompetent admin (whom I agree with a previous post should not be practicing medicine...she actually at one point suggested "maybe I don't really need the prescription" when I called after waiting TWO WEEKS for Dr. Thompson to call it in- a task she SWORE up and down she would do by the end of the day of my original appointment. This woman should not be a doctor. She should be professor at the "School of Non-Empathetic and Un-qualified Medicine Practicioners."

Dr. linda is a very thoughtful and thorough doctor on all levels of attention and diagnosis. She goes beyond the accepted norm in her industry and truely cares about you as a person. After reading the poor evaluation I can only come to the conclusion they are talking about another Dr. Linda Thompson in Baltimore. I found another online and it seems to fit. Thank you Dr. Linda for being the best among many I have had to endure over the years you are a blessing.

I moved to the area and am glad I found Dr. Linda Thompson. I am in good health (knock on wood), so I can't say what it would like to receive treatment for an illness. Dr. Thompson seems like she wants to understand your health in the context of your life. If you aren't willing to discuss that dynamic, you may not be the right match for her. She's extremely knowledgeable and keeps up on medical research as well. I recommend her and I hope to keep her as my physician for a long time!
