I found Dr. Gurin to be very helpful. I was referred to her my physical therapist after I had a knee replacement and nasty sciatica pain. She helped me not only with prescribing and monitoring pain killers, but with practical solutions that I could do by myself at home. I saw her again this year when I had my second knee replaced. Fortunately not everyone needs to see a pain management specialist after knee replacements, but I have had back/hip complications both times. I don't think physical therapy alone would have helped me make it through the pain, although I continued with it the whole time.

I took my daughter to Dr. Gurin because of a strong recommendation from Dr. Nemanich, a highly respected Ortho surgeon. She had a knee injury from gymnastics that took her out of competition for 2 months. She was devastated and was afraid she'd never be able to go back, but this is her senior year, she's captain of her high school team and better than ever! Dr. Gurin had a straight forward, knowledgeable plan of action and was able to avoid surgery. YAY! I am eternally grateful! I have recommended her to everyone I know and she has lived up to our highest expectations!

Dr Gurin might run late sometimes so I make my appointments for early in the day when possible. She takes time to listen and ask questions, maybe too much time (which makes her late, lol), and I have been very satisfied with her. Her staff are very professional and friendly and when I've told them that, they smiled and thanked me. Dr Gurin has been a helpful and caring doctor and I would recommend her to anyone. She is not one of these doctors that just want to medicate you and get you on your way, which probably frustrates those looking for meds! Sorry if this sounds judgmental, but some of her clients look pretty rough and are rude with the staff. Treat others the way you want to be treated!

I have been a patient of Dr. Gurin for quite a while. She has been the most knowledgable doctor within her field that I have ever seen and has been the most caring, compassionate doctor I have ever seen in any field. She also provides the ammenities that make a big difference. Nice, clean office that's run by pleasant and professional staff. I have personally referred her to many friends, and would highly recommend to any individual who is considering seeking her services

Went there for chronic migraines, chronic head pain. Been on every kind of pain med they make, hate them, want off them. Have had headaches for 45 years She says to take three 200mg of ibuprofen when bad migraine starts. Seriously??????? I truly wonder how she has any business, I'll go to a Vet before going back there. (no offense to vets). I was dumbfounded, bet I looked like a deer in the headlights does when I left there. I could keep going here, but, don't need to..........Stay away

Dr. Gurin is AMAZING. Yes, she always runs late, but that would be because she takes the time to understand her patients and their concerns. I believe she is doing everything she can to control my pain so I may return to work. I believe some doctors would just have me go on disability, NOT Dr. Gurin. She wants to see me back to my previous/ active lifestyle. She even has a target date for when I should be released from her care! How many doctors give you THAT information! If you're looking for disability, I don't believe she may be the right physician for you. If you're looking for a doctor who wants to get you back on your feet, Dr. Gurin is who you should see!. I would recommend her to ANYONE (and will!) I, personally do not believe she pushes pain pills, just the opposite! She wants me off them as much as I want off them.
