He will operate but then you will not be able to see him again. All further appointments are with uncaring PA's. He is not available in person or by phone. So if you would like to speak with your doctor after the operation I would suggest that you seek a different orthopedic group.

Let me first start off by stating that if you put up with the incredibly rude and incompetent staff the doctors are actually personable and professional. After seeking treatment for an injury which occurred due to the negligence of a third party for which I am awaiting settlement, I unfortunately was injured again and chose to go back to Comprehensive Orthopedics at both their Wallingford and Meriden locations since one is close to work. I was informed at one point that I was no longer eligible for treatment for they were demanding immediate payment for my initial injury. I promptly paid the bill in full and the woman stated that she would send a statement that the account was satisfied. I never received the statement in question, nor have I received a phone call or another statement since. Now I come to find out that they have turned my account over for collections so needless to say I am reporting my experience with the local BBB. Again, no contact whatsoever from either office regarding a balance due since I paid my bill in full which is just one more example of the staff's total lack of competence.

Dr. Driscoll is young, and very thorough. He is my orthopedist, and was also my 86 year old mother's (he actually sent me a hand written card when she died.) He related well to her, was gentle and listened. He seems to know his stuff, makes appropriate referrals, does tests when needed, doesn't want to order them when they are not. He deos expect the patient wot participate in his/her recovery, and you can hear in the tone of his voice when you are not holding up your end of the bargain. He will do whatever is necessary to see you have what you need to do so. He is always pleasant, yet very professonal. His secretary Leslie is very helpful and organized, and works hard to get things done in an efficient way in a very busy office. Dr. D. is part of a very busy group that has four offices in the central CT area.
