Dr. Van Der Walt is a champion of the community. He extends exceptional care to his patients in practice and in the Emergency Department at this hospital. His interactions with his staff also don't go unnoticed, everyone speaks highly of him.

Dr Van der Walt has been my doctor for YEARS and has always been very attentive and willing to help with any issues I have, offering referrals and phoning me even without an appointment if he sees that I've been in the ER to check in the following day.

I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Van Der Walt as my physician. He is very knowledgeable and so professional. Recently, when I was in emergency for stitches, he took care of me as soon as he saw me. He did the stitches right away and I was out of there before I knew it. This was very refreshing because I had waited for over 5 hours to see a doctor. I was so glad he was on call that day! He has great bedside manner and is so personable. I wish everyone could have a doctor like him.

Dr Van Der Walt has always been extremely professional, knowledgeable and experienced. If it wasn't for Dr Van Der Walt we never would have known/realized that I had cancer, thankfully for us he"caught" it when others didn't. We are very fortunate to have Van Der Walt as our physician.

I'm lucky enough to have Dr StiaanVan Der Walt as my family doctor been a patient of his since he started there, he's the Best doc ever. That's like 14 years! He's caring and will take the best care of you that he possibly can. Definitely will send you to a specialist if ever needed. I'm aleays relieved when I go to the ER and he's there it makes me way calmer of a experience. 10/10. He's helped me through alot over the years.

He was my doc twice in ER when I severely fractured bones. He was kind and caring and was so gentle when he reduced my fractures. He expressed concern about my overall health and made suggestions without being offensive or pushy. I wish he could my regular doc.

I met this Dr for the first time in the ER. He was extremely kind and concerned. Excellent bedside manor. He was very thorough. Two weeks later he called me to give me my results. It was very kind to have a random call even though I am not his patient. I would say he is a huge benefit to helping in the local ER.

He is the best doctors I have ever been to. I have had him in the ER multiple times and he was always so great. After being sent home with little help the day before I had to go in the next day and he was shocked and very apologetic that I had ever been sent home in the first place. I also went to him because my foster son was sick and I was telling him about my struggles with him and he went above and beyond and refered me to a pediatrician and the FASD clinic in Camrose. He is an absolutely wonderful doctor!

I met Dr. Van Der Walt when my family doctor was on leave and he was taking on some extra patients temporarily. During my appointment with him, I mentioned a female problem I'd had for a few years that nobody had ever seemed to think was abnormal, and he recognized it as a potential problem. Within 2 months he had diagnosed me with endometriosis, and I was able to see a specialist who fixed it, and I was also able to become pregnant the same year! I have never felt heard or cared about by a healthcare professional prior to him, and I was ecstatic when he said he would take me on as a regular patient! He has been amazing with my children, and I am always comfortable enough in his office to ask him extra questions or discuss alternative options with him. I love my gynecologist during my pregnancies, but my favorite time is when Dr. Van Der Walt shows up the day after delivery to meet his newest patient! His bedside manner is great and I loved how he encouraged dad to get involved!

While he is not my family Dr. , I got to see him briefly in the ER, recently . He prescribed the exact medication I needed, to get over a nasty abscess tooth infection. I highly recommend, as I haven't felt better in weeks! Thanks Dr.Van Der Walt :)
