My mum was admitted to westville hospital and was supposed to be treated by DR P Moodley. Mum was on hospital for 5 days . This DR only visited her once on the day she was admitted for less than 5 minutes. Never came back. Even after repeated attempts by the nursing staff to contact him. His partner DR Rampershad is just as bad. He promised to visit 3 times but also never showed up. I cannot believe how unprofessional these drs are. Patients lives are in their hands and they just don’t care. Tried calling the rooms but nobody answers the calls. The nursing staff were left confused as they didn’t l ow how to treat my mum. I’ve complained to the hospital but nothing was done abt this situation.

Dr Moodley is knowledgeable but he is too busy to give his patients the time and care that they deserve. I was in hospital for 3 days and in that time he only managed one ward round, at 11pm one night when everyone was half asleep. If I hadn't discharged myself I would still be there.

Extremely poor care provided to my father who died within 3 weeks of surgery. He operates late at night when he is exhausted and does not pitch for appointments the next day in his rooms. I would not recommend him.

Takes on more patients that he can give attention to. Be prepared to see him maybe twice at most in a 5 day stay. You will not be kept updated on your condition because nurses aren’t allowed to give you details. Good luck if you insist on seeing him.
