He service has gone downhill unfortunately. He used to be better. I am not sure if he still has a private practice, but his hospital service is currently greatly lacking.

I was wrong about Dr. Dimanno as having the amount of integrity I thought he had. I think that if he did not allow himself to be dragged down by his hospital colleagues, and the system, he is basically a very good man and good doctor. If there had been the opportunity, he may have realized the very bad I went through with the psychiatry experiences I had (only twice in my life including at that particular timing, as practically my entire life which is very many decades I have been very blessed with a very happy, healthy, comfortable, and wonderful life), and then he may have properly helped me based on the facts.

I thought he did well during the short one session with me, I was surprised and relieved because many psychiatrists are so bad, and I thought I may be able to trust this psychiatrist, and I was led to believe he would be seeing me again, but he disappeared. Then I got a horrid one. (Even in a matter of a few days a patient can be tossed about with different doctors). I did inquire and ask if I could continue with Dr. DiManno but that request was ignored by them, even though it was a very desperate situation.

However, when I read Dr. DiManno’s note in the records I was very disappointed in him. He omitted some very important and relevant information discussed in that one-time discussion. He did mention a couple of things correctly in the note as “althoughs”, (he seemed confused). However, he wrongly mostly chose to write from/based on completely false information from other(s). He had false information from other doctor(s) that was made available to him without my consent, disrespecting my rights. He did not have what it takes to have the integrity to not write a note signed by him on what he knew nothing about. He did not know me, just met me, knew nothing about my life, or the true experiences with any other doctor.

I could tell he seemed confused when he left from our session, and at the time I didn’t know why, because I had not known then that other doctor(s) had already wrongly influenced him. I only knew once I read records.

Lift yourself out of the psychiatry cesspool Dr. DiManno so there won’t be the chance of you drowning with them, because I believe that you are better than that. Don’t be careless and unfair, or cover for colleagues, it is damaging to your patients. You wrote based on some seriously and inexcusably falsified information from others. Don’t start putting the cesspool ahead of your patients. It is seriously harmful to them. Count every single patient as important and worthy of the truth. Count all lives as worthy.

Both my husband and I are patients of Dr.
Dimanno and he is the very best doctor we ever had. I myself have been and continue to be a patient of Dr. Dimanno. HE HAS BEEN THE MOST EXCELLENT DOCTOR I HAVE EVER HAD and it's bee 9 years and I do attend to my appointments once a month only, now. He keeps encouraging me to speak up and to take my meds and increasing or decreasing as needed and he listens and cares and makes my life and the world my life better. Not only does he advise me on medication but also as a counselor he listen and reminds me that sometimes it's not about me and it's not my issue. I can say enough goodness about his professionalism. I did recommend him to my husband as we both live a positive life and recommend D.D as an excellent professional and very caring in his line of work Dr.in medicine of Psychiatry.. I'mnot sure whether he also has a counseling degree., but we think he should. Thankyou and blessings to you and your staff to : Dr.D.omenic Dimanno.

What makes this doctor a good psychiatrist is his character. He respects his patients. He respects their rights. So many psychiatrists do not.

I only had one session with Dr. Domenic Dimanno. Unfortunately because of the system more sessions with him were not available to me.

However, my impression and gut feeling from that one session with him was that he is a very good doctor and human being.

It was a talk not just between a psychiatrist and patient but also a talk between person and person. Not psychiatrist and object.

He was quiet and calm, patient and understanding, open-minded, kind, a good listener, careful in his thoughts and conversation relevant to the individual. He has integrity about the topics discussed. Rather than making things worse for the patient because of an attitude, he made things better for his patient because of his attitude. I sensed a trusting of his patient evoking trust in him.

Too bad there are not more like him.

Too bad I was not given the opportunity to carry on with him as my doctor. I sensed he is wisely knowledgeable, intuitive, honest, enlightened, aware, and would have chosen the correct approaches, therapy, help, etc. to be given, responsibly, respectfully, supportively, with genuine caring about the well-being of his patient.

It can make all the difference in the world having the right doctor.

I unfortunately know what happened to me not having him as my doctor.

I feel I can comfortably recommend him to you.

I had this doc as an in patient in a hospital. He helped me identify an underlying borderline tendency but a bipolar mania that would surface from time to time. This has helped me seek more treatment options and better understand myself and what I can do to better regulate. He is a very type b personality but does not try to influence my type a mind. He listened to my needs and responded to them. I feel deeply that he was overlooked and undervalued by working in a hospital as dysfunctional as credit valley. I am positive he will have nothing but the best experiences in his new endeavors. If you can see him, do. He will work with you and your needs. I wish I lived in North York!!
