was ready to treat the root cause of my anxiety rather than the symptoms of anxiety. Won't prescribe meds just for the fun of it and will use the lowest dose working.

Ok so i was sent to this doctors office to treat what was considered bipolar 1 and GAD. I was originally on zyprexa, wellbutrin and clonazepam. She swapped my zyprexa for Latuda... Latuda and Wellbutrin have a big bad interaction factor with suddent death at the top of the list of the interaction effects.. When i mentioned a brain zap from the mix and said i would like her input, she told me to do what i wanted.. i mentioned also that time that the clonazepam wasnt working right and that i believed alprazolam would make a better choice considering the speed of efficiency.. she told me no no no we dont really prescribe that anymore. 3 weeks later i manage to get her on the phone and she prescribes xanax without me even mentioning it that time.. at our last appointment i tried to tell her that the 1mg 1 time per day wasnt really working well for me but i didnt even get to tell her i was taking .5 mg at a time no.. she cut me off. Didnt let me finish talking.. ( i talked 1.30 minutes when we met and then she hijacked our appointement.) i didnt get to place one more word.. she ranted for the rest of said appointment and booted me out her office saying i need a psychologist not a psychiatrist.. who the f can analyse someone off 1.30 minutes of talking and make life changing decisions based on such a micro assessement? Poor peoples skills, over pompous, not at all there for her patients.. phone call returns are usually 1-2 weeks after original request.. i just feel like i was generically tossed on her porch and was a nuisance to her. poor communication, zero follow-ups..
