I found Dr. Kratzer to be very helpful. I never waited more than 10 minutes in the exam room. He explained everything so that I could understand it, and had no problem encouraging me to see another specialist if I felt that I needed it. I thought that his manner was just 'as needed'. Not sure what others are looking for.

Dr. Kratzer is not a neurologist that you should choose for your loved one. He sees his in-patients for less then five minutes, does not review MRI's, gives an off the cuff five minute assessment of what "he" thinks is the problem, and then discharges the patient only to find out he mis-diagnosed. If you love your family member, please take them outside of the upstate NY area for neurology.

Questioned him about prescribed medication dosage. Gave me an evasive answer. Not a people person,abrupt, minimal communication.

I waited 35 minutes in the exam room. He was definitely not a "people person". He answered my questions quickly, matter of factly, did the test, told me the problem, and that was that. It took, maybe, 7 minutes to do this. He knew his stuff , but his manner was disappointing.
