She was so kind and understanding. Legitimately had my best interest in mind and was very trauma-informed, which made her a unicorn in this province. The dal psychiatrist who took over is just awful. Eye rolling, intentional misunderstanding, repeatedly using trigger phrases you ask her not to and explain why, insulted me trying to get help, wouldn't look at med interactions... Ugh, I miss Dr Manders and feel for dal students who will be subjected to the other one. Dr. Manders was the first and only psychiatrist I ever saw who was kind and understanding. I hope she knew what a light she was <3

She helped a friend of mine, and was incredibly supportive. My friend had some real jerks in her life; Dr Manders did not accept any of their B.S., and helped sort things out.

Dr Manders was a champion and a true healer. I'm grateful that she committed her strengths to psychiatry.

Dr. Manders was one of the best psychiatrists I have ever had. She was a beacon of hope in my life and never stopped working to improve my quality of life and to help me achieve all that I wanted to achieve. She understood living with a disability like no other doctor could. She will be missed dearly by myself and I'm sure she will be missed by many of her other patients. Please rest in peace Dr. Manders.
