Never had a tooth extracted before, was very nervous for the procedures. Came in, was greeted with a smile from the receptionist. When i went back for the consult dr. muul explained everything very clearly and asked if i had any questions. Another receptionist came back and went over my copay and explained very precisely my insurance coverage. The doctors assistant made me feel very comfortable and reassured me that i would be fine. Dr. Muul performed the extraction very quickly and no pain! Must say I was very anxious before coming in, but was leaving with a smile. If i ever have to get a tooth pulled again this is definitely where i will go!

I had my two lower wisdom teeth taken out. I had gone under before this so I was not scared...but this was completely different! I didn't even get to ask him what anesthesia it was because he was in a big rush! He just stuck in the iv and gave me the drug, usually they tell you about it and and ask if you have any more questions before going under, but there was nothing like this. Here is the scary part, I do not remember being released. Actually my mother said they discharged me and I was sitting in the chair with my mouth open while the assistant was trying to wake me up. The only reason my mother took me is because she is an RN in the ICU and she said she felt safer having me then leaving me there. But in my other experience in the hospital they waited until I was conscious and wheeled me out. In this case the dentist tech didn't even know what anesthesia I was on. It just seemed unprofessional.

Tooth extraction. I declined being put under gas. I never needed it as the numbing gel always did the job. He seemed in a hurry. He rubbed gel and immediately stuck a big needle in my gum. I felt everything and screamed wait, stop please.. He stuck even harder/deeper. I reacted and pushed his arm away and pulled needle out my mouth. He became irate saying don't put your hands on me, I was upset and said excuse me but I told u to stop, I've never in my life felt the pain of the needle and I've been thru all types of procedures. He didn't even wait for the gel to take effect. You saw that you were hurting me and pushed even harder. I've never experienced that so my immediate reaction was to remove his hand from my mouth. You saw I was in pain, I shouldn't be feeling that!!! A horrible experience. I'm praying that i don't get a dry socket from this.

Dr. Muul was amazing! I was scared to death about getting my wisdom teeth removed at the ag eof 25. Mine were very impacted and pushing on my other teeth. He did not want to hurt the other teeth so he had to use a drill, I was put under took about 45mins. I had no pain really. I took a vicodin when I got home and ended up getting sick from the anesthia and from the antibotics. The actual procedure caused me no pain, I was only sore and couldnt really open my mouth for 2 days. The medicine is what hurt me! I would see Dr. Muul again for any other procedure I have!!!

Dr. Muul was very helpful. I had 3 wisdom teeth removed. I was terrified and my whole body was shaking in the chair while the assistants were preparing me for the surgery. I didn't get much sleep the night before because I kept waking up shaking. I was completely OUT for the surgery. One thing I know, he's giving me a shot of something "to relax," and the next thing I know I'm sitting in a chair in a lobby somewhere waiting to go. I was also not in nearly as much pain as I expected to be. The nurses explained what I needed to do and gave me the painkillers on my way out (or rather, gave them to my "responsible party). I only needed to take 3 out of the bottle that they gave me, and they did not make me nauseated as I expected that they would. All in all, I'd say I had a pretty good experience with Dr. Muul, considering that he cuts people' faces open for a living.

This is a safe choice if you need an oral surgeon. Only possible weakness may seem like a slight lack of warmth, but his reliability, consistancy and awesome office staff make up for lack of his warm fuzzies. Technically very skilled. Very punctual, to-the-point, and gets the job done well. Would use again.

My Husband was seen by Dr. Muul for an ulcer in his mouth. He was very quick to schedule him for a biopsy which revealed that he had cancer. He spent a lot of time talking with us and helped to schedule him to be seen at Univ. of MD. The staff was very helpful and friendly and I would recommend this office to anyone.

I went to Dr.Muul for 3rd molar exts. He was the most wonderful doctor! His staff was polite/helpful, the office was bright&clean. I was terrified to get the teeth removed but he was so calming and sweet to me that I immediately relaxed. After the surgery he called me that night at home just to check on me and I've never experienced that from another dr. I felt that he was attentive and his concern for my comfort was genuine. The surgery was quick and not as painful as I was expecting and Dr.Muul walked me through the entire process. This is the most positive experience I've ever had at a dental visit and I will definitely be bringing my children to his office to get their wisdom teeth out! I doubt there's anyone else out there who could do a better job. I give him an A+ for everything!
