If there is a better family doctor on the Island, would love to know who it is. Dr. Ochoa makes you feel like you are her only patient. She does not rush you, she is extremely thorough, extremely kind and caring, simply can not give her enough praise.

We were so lucky not only to get a doctor in Nanaimo when we moved to the Island but to get Dr. Ochoa who is simply the best. Extremely thorough, compassionate, caring, helpful, I can not say enough. Excellent family doctor.

Dr Paula Ochoa has not seen me in person for 3 years only about 10 phone calls short 10 to 15 minutes long. Changes my meds a few times, adds some to try but never follows up. Refused to see in person, because I can not wear a mask dues to breathing issues, which is not mandatory and I am exempt for this reason and other serious related medical. I am over 70 years of age and have relied on emerg medical care. On list for 2 surgeries, one I will get end of Feb. more serious one a main artery still unknown. Now she has dropped me as a patient, told me to find another Doctor because I asked to many questions with no real answers on her part, I was not happy with her treatment.

She is a very good doctor, very kind and "always takes the time" specialy when you go for a check up. Hard to find doctors like her.

I pinch myself.. I have found such a vibrant, caring,knowledgeable Dr. She will refer you if needed. To boot... Dr Ochoa has a great sense of humour.

Dr. Ochoa is the best doctor I’ve had. I love how she takes her time and you are never rushed when you see her. She follows up on your health or procedures. I feel so lucky to her as our family doctor.

So fortunate to have Dr. Paula Ochoa as our family doctor. She is extremely thorough, takes the time needed to address the patients needs and is very compassionate and understanding. An outstanding doctor.

Such a truly caring and knowledgeable doctor! I absolutely love her! She obviously cares about the whole person. What a comfort! She is totally professional; yet you don't feel like a number. She is the BEST! I feel SO blessed!

I feel so very fortunate to have Dr Paula Ochoa as my doctor. Happy beyond words. Having her so kind! so patient! so willing to help! She must have graduated in the top of the class as she knows everything we have discussed and knows it all very well. What a gift as she is really a treasure!

She is amazing, very kind and knowledgeable. Great listener and make you feel very comfortable. Unfortunately, she has moved to Nanaimo.
