I call him the Tom Vu of chiropractors. I went to see Dr. Meyers regarding my back problems. He gave me a thorough examination and used some type of body scanning machine. I asked him about it and he told me that he would explain everything to me at my next visit. I showed up to my next appointment the same week where he told me that he wanted me to come back in the evening where he conducts seminars so I can learn about subluxations and how his treatments would change my life . He also wanted me to bring my family members and friends with me. I told him that I'm not interested in any seminar , I just wanted my diagnosis and treatment. He insisted that I have to come in order to understand the whole picture of my diagnosis and tried emphatically to explain the how important the seminar would be to me. I told him that I'm a grad student with years of anatomy and physiology classes and he should just give me the information now. He refused. He did give me an adjustment which I responded positively to, so I decided to try another week of sessions. On both occasions, he didn't ask me how I was feeling and how I responded to the previous adjustments, just that I need to come to his seminar. I am sure that Dr. Meyers is a capable chiropractor, but I do not need a lifetime membership so that he can buy a fancy yacht and cars . He cares more about getting regular visits from patients who believe in his subluxation scare tactics. There are plenty of excellent chiropractors in the Tri City area to choose from that don't say "Come to my seminar!"
