Right knee has next to no cartilage left and what’s there floats around causing pain and the odd loss of leg control when the floaters don’t line up and I end up on the ground writhing in pain.
I was sent for an MRI. Didst.
Had appointment with Dr Dill.
While looking at the MRI picture he said so you’re having trouble with your left knee? I said it’s my right knee. He said it’s my left knee. I paused then said no, it really is my right knee. He said no, it really is your left knee. I said I had to keep it very still in the MRI machine for whatever time and I deal with the pain every day. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that it is my right knee. He paused for a bit then said (to his credit) I was correct and the picture was mislabelled. Phew! I thought. Glad that was over and now we can get on with it. He then looked me straight in the eyes and said there was nothing he could do to fix my knee. I said Nothing? He said with a totally non- interested look, nothing… and no explanations.
I was extremely disappointed that he couldn’t get over his embarrassment quickly. I had and was ready to move on. I had heard good things about his abilities as a surgeon. In my line of work, I’ve had to deal with all sorts of people who were not easy to deal with and somehow found a way to make it work. I can deal with however you want to act whether it’s egotistical or extreme sudden anger (1 Dr who I won’t name), not able to discuss things with you on your level, etc. Just do your job Dr! Mend our broken bodies so we can live better! Nothing? You can’t go in and remove that piece of cartilage? You can’t put in a new synthetic cartilage? C’mon Dr.
So, that, and apparently from what others say also, is Dr Dill. That was many years and a lot of ingested Oxy ago.
Now, to be fair, they have a ton of patients and I can see not all of them being nice people, and I can see that affecting the state of yours and your offices mental health. I really do. If you need an outlet, or someone to talk to, do it man!! We know the pressure you are under. Humans breaking bones is like the mail, where it just doesn’t stop. Humans will not stop breaking their bodies doing (not always) dangerous or careless acts. We just need you to repair us and send us back out into the world again to experience life as best as we can.
It is easy to imagine “terminator” type skeletons are just down the road but until then,,,,

Seemed like a nice guy, knowledgable, but he filed my paperwork wrong three times, making it so my husband couldn't get the leave he needed to help me after a fracture.

Terrible doctor. Waited a year for a referral for a torn acl and meniscus just for him to want to cancel my appointment. Guy is a f*ckin loser.

I got a referral to this doctor from my GP because of hip pain. He told my GP he didn’t want to see me, when asked why he said had looked at an X-ray (provided by my GP) and that I had a previous hip replacement and there was nothing wrong with me.
I’m in so much pain in the hip area I can bearly walk, I have swelling in the groin area, which could be an infection, without ordering a CT he wouldn’t be able to tell anything. This guy looked at an X-ray and said nothing wrong, so terrible pain and can’t walk and this guy without even asking me a question says there is nothing wrong with me. As far as I’m concerned this guy should be reported to the medical board, the months you wait for doctor appointments, this guy must think he’s god to just turn around and say nothing wrong without even talking to me.
There have to be better doctors than this guy, maybe one that still has a little compassion and doesn’t just jump to conclusions and make wrong diagnosis.

Competent, caring and knowledgeable doctor. Had knee replacement surgery late August, was out of hospital next day. Very minimal pain, was mobile right after surgery. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr Dill to anyone needing his expertise. Great doctor!

Dr. Dill is very competent. Had a knee replacement in the summer and after swelling subsided, with physio of course, back on my bike and playing golf within 6 weeks. Hate the wait times in his office though.
