If this is the Dr. A Villanueva now practicing in Calgary, I would avoid seeing him. I was referred to him by my family doctor regarding a chronic condition requiring treatment in hopes he may have some recommendations. Instead, he spent the entire appointment focusing on anything but my condition (he asked me at one point what was being done to treat it, and was surprised when I said that was why I was seeing him, and he never mentioned it again) and spewed a bunch of anti-vax type information when he asked about my covid vaccination status; saying death counts were overinflated, warning me against getting a booster shot because of possible 'immunological buildup in the organs' and saying children were better off getting covid than getting vaccinated. He violated patient privacy by handing me a clipboard that had pages of notes from his previous patients that day including names and healthcare numbers on them. I will not see this doctor again.

We loved Dr V, he was wonderful with our parents. We are so sad he left. If he had stayed within driving distance we would continue with him for our parents, worth it. My parents also adored him.

I have seen this doctor numerous times for my medical condition and find him to be truly compassionate and caring. His staff is always friendly and is great at making conversation with any of the patients in the waiting room. I would recommend him to anyone needing this type of specialist.

missed scheduling an appointment for husband when he was scheduled for surgery in Calgary, thus we had to make a rush trip to Calgary to have heart tests done in prep for surgery same week. He denied his error, however hospital staff stated the appointment he was suppose to make was never made. He shows very little interest in his job. I had him myself ages ago and he talked down to me all the time.

I did not realize if you do not see him every year, you are purged from his patient files. Don't want to waste Dr's valuable time, but when I need a prescription refilled not a chance was denied since I no longer exist as his patient.
