Everything positive said is completely true! To add, Dr Ah Seng is also very respectful of personal choice. I find that he isn’t a pill pusher. He’ll prescribe medication if needed, but also gives natural medical advice if appropriate (my c-section incision came open, he told me to put honey and bandages on it and gave me the signs if I needed to come back in and it worked!)
He was the first dr to find out I had endometriosis when I was dismissed by others, and when I chose to go out of country for medical treatment, he supported my decision and helped me any way he could. He’s been with me now through a tough pregnancy and delivery, and I literally trust him with my life after having a lot of anxiety from bad experiences with other doctors. I feel like he genuinely knows and cares for my son. My whole family sees him as their GP too and he doesn’t show favortism for one patient over the other, although you can tell he enjoys treating pregnancies a lot!

I met him with I found out I was pregnant as first time mom. During the first appointment I asked if I could work out and he told me it was safe to do so, except biking. After that, I had my first ultrasound done. An hemorrhage was missed from being reported and I kept working out until I started bleeding. I called his office at 3pm the day before Canada Day and he told me to only go to ER if I was bleeding bright red blood but he had to go because it was Canada Day and couldn’t help me. I went to ER even if I wasn’t bleeding bright red blood and found out I had a hemorrhage in my placenta that was seen since the first ultrasound and it was not reported by him….I was at risk of losing my baby, especially if I listened to what he said on the phone. I don’t think he genuinely cares…
During the first appointment, he talked about the genetic screening tests and I asked what are the factors that increase risk of Down syndrome and he told me to google “Down syndrome” and I could see what that is…..
during the second visit, a resident started the visit and I told him I have been in Canada for 7 years. When the resident left the room and told him I wasn’t from here, the only thing he asked was if I had my Alberta health care number …. I am still speechless. I left and got a OBGYN. Io don’t usually leave bad ratings but just be careful .

Absolute worst doctor/ family physician ever! Had an ultra sound over a month ago, was called by his office to schedule a phone appointment to discuss results only to never get a phone call, I’ve now been waiting over a month and still nothing… booked an appointment for a physical exam about 3-4 month ago and the exam was done in less than 10 minutes with me getting a blood work requisition and a listen to lungs and heart, discussions about other problems fall on deaf ears… would not recommend this doctor

Dr. Ah Seng has been my physician for several years now. He is very thorough, to the point, considerate and incredibly knowledgeable. If he is unsure on a matter, he will find the answer. He leaves no stone unturned and never makes you feel like you are wasting his time. He calls back even after hours and makes best efforts to squeeze you in. An absolutely fantastic doctor.

Dr. Ah-Seng was the doctor on call when I delivered my second baby (the doctor I had for my previous birth was awful and extremely old school), right after the delivery I begged him to be our family doctor. He delivered my last two babies and continues to be our family doctor. We don’t live near his practice but it is worth the drive. He is genuinely caring, knowledgeable and he takes his time. I highly recommend him if you are looking for an obstetrician.

Dr. Ah Seng & his team were with me through my entire pregnancy and delivered for me at the Misericordia. He is knowledgeable, caring, and a professional. We felt so safe and taken of with him: we have since referred close friends and family to him for their pregnancies/deliveries. Best doctor I’ve ever had!

I was very fortunate to have Dr. Ah Seng as my doctor when pregnant. He was pleasant and helpful and very professional. I don't regret having him as my doctor at all. One of the best experiences I have had with colleague doctor.
