Dr. Bannister writes way too many prescriptions for ADHD meds. Most patients are not even needing them.

This doctor is too concerned with data entry on her lap top than in what you have to say. She is abrupt with a questionable bed side manner. She will tell you to stop talking so she can concentrate on what she thinks might be happening to you, rather than hear what you are feeling or going through. She spaces out trying to determine what you might have like an intern would in their first year of residency. Also, she is frequently out of town with out a doctor to refer you to in her absence. The last time I used her she was so crass and rude to me that I left in tears!

A friend referred Dr. Bannister to me after I had a bad experience with another doctor's office staff. I've been very pleased with both Dr. B and her staff. She has a great bedside manner, she listens and spends time with me. Plus, her staff is very helpful and friendly. NOt at all like th staff of the doctor's who I left.

I felt like after my first visit, I was typecast as just having depression instead of recognizing that many things can cause depression. I didn't feel significantly better after being on a couple different anti-depressants but I got the impression other avenues wouldn't be explored to rule out physical causes. I was told a second thyroid test would be done and it was not. She totally blew off my back pain saying "I can't help you with that". Really? You can't do a referral? I'm not going to continue to spend money with someone who blows me off like that.

Instead of listening to the patient, she sits down in front of a laptop and asks questions based on the what is on the computer rather than actually asking pertinent questions. I had 8 major surgeries and she wasn't concerned in the least as to what happened with the surgeries. When I told her I needed my thyroid levels checked due to Graves Disease, she told me no way would my levels be elevated. Blood tests told otherwise.
