One star on everything because I couldn’t vote for less. Such a horrible experience. I waited over an hour for an appointment after two weeks of calling and no one answering the phone. One day I called close to the time they were closing and one lady picked up, put me on hold, and forwarded me to the automated message because she didn’t want to do her job. I was told they would call me after they put in an insurance claim for my consult. I waited over two weeks in pain and finally started calling them and turns out they “couldn’t find” my paperwork or forms, meaning they never put in the claim. I will never reach out to them and will let everyone I know to never consider them either. There was not a single moment of professionalism, competency, or organization.

The office staff is most competent and pleasant, I had two root canals performed and two crowns and the experience was very satisfying,procedures were painless and the crowns fit great with no adjustments to the crowns as I had experienced thru the years, he is very gentle . informative and. It was a real pleasure being treated by him, can not recommend him enough, he was great

Does not wear gloves nor wash his hands when doing his job. Office is not up to date and staff is too old and un helpfull.

Staff was helpful friendly and polite. Dr Melideo was professional and most of all his work was outstanding. I have referred him to my friends and will continue to do so.

No Stars from this Mom. In the beginning of July 2016 I brought my 8 year old son to the dentist and learned that he needed a root canal however his dentist would not do it and referred me to go to a specialist to do it. The problem was that no pediatric doctors would do the root canal because it is an adult tooth. They only work on baby teeth. And no other office would work on a child younger than 12. I was going crazy until I found Dr. Malideo who has no problem working on my child so I went there, filled out the paper work for them to send off to get authorization. This was all done around July 18th.

By August 15th I didn't hear anything from his office. I called and left a few messages for a call back and finally called my son's insurance company to learn that they never received any paper work for the request. Someone finally called me back said they found the paper work that it was never sent. The person who normally works the office was on vacation so I couldn't really get upset with the person taking care of this issue. She told me she has everything and that she would personally drop it in the mail being they don't do anything electronically and she had to go to the post office anyways.

It is now September 7th and I still haven't heard anything from them. I call the office and the same person I spoke with 3 weeks ago answered. She said that Joyce would be back tomorrow. I called the emergency line last week to speak with the doctor myself however, when he was calling back I was dealing with medical issues with my 2 year old daughter which was more important than a root canal at that time. So today I spoke with this same lady who said it's not her fault that I didn't hear anything and that Joyce would be in tomorrow that she would call me. She also tried telling me she didn't say that she would mail the paper work. I remember our conversation. I said everything back to her word for word. She was just rude and a bitch. My child is in pain and I am frustrated because this office doesn't run properly. It doesn't take 3 weeks for mail to be delivered. So when I hung up with her I called the insurance company. And guess what... They still have not received or ever received anything requesting authorization for a root canal on my child. My child is crying in pain and this office didn't even call to follow up with the auth request. I'm done... I will now have to drive to the Bronx for my child to get a root canal. This doctor gets No stars from this pissed off MOMMY!!! And I never even made it in the office to meet with the doctor. I'm kind of glad too because after reading these reviews, there is no way he is putting his hands in my child's mouth without wearing gloves. I'll take this as a sign!!! I can't wait for this office to call me tomorrow!!!

I called to complain and tell them to forget about getting auth for my child. Joyce told me to tell the insurance company to check their fax that she faxed it this morning. Isn't this her fucking job? Oh, and because I said the word Fuck she hung up on me. What does she expect from an irate mother who is being told bullshit? I have never had a problem getting auths from my son's insurance company. Joyce told me she doesn't have control over the mail. Seriously, I work in shipping and it doesn't take 3 weeks for mail to get to any destination in the US. So, this means they still had the referral and it was never mailed like I was told. Oh, and now they faxed it. But I was told they don't do anything electronically!!! I have never in my life dealt with such unprofessionalism. Hard to believe this office is still in business. This practice is a JOKE!!!!

I started to go to Dr. L Melideo when I was in my early twenties and now I am 62 years old. I still have all but one of the gold restorations forty years later, and they are all still going strong. He is truly an extremely professional, passionate, and talented dentist. He also only uses the best equipment and materials. Dr. Melideo is also up to date with the latest pharmacotherapy regimens to decrease inflammation and therefore decrease pain. Recently, I needed a dental implant in a tooth that had a cap, post, and crown. This was done prior to when I started going to Dr. Melildeo. The previous dentist used an inferior post that eventually contributed in cracking the tooth that then had to be extracted. If this restoration was done by Dr. Melideo I am convinced that I would still have the tooth. So, if you are wiling to make the commitment to restore your mouth and are only interested in making no compromises, he is the practitioner of choice.

I really have no idea why these people would say such negative things about Dr. Melideo I have been going there for many years and so has my family we have always been very satisfied with our treatment and the cleanliness of the office. This is a dentist who really cares about his patient an their teeth.To me it sounds like someone is just trying to make him look bad. I have always found him to be very nice an cares about making his patients happy. It is also the only Drs office that I have ever been in where you don't have to spend an hour in the waiting room before you see him

recommended to his practice nearly 20 years ago and the most competent dentist I have ever been exposed to. He is extremely caring and very gentle. He performs almost every procedure available to a patient. I have recommended all my relatives over the years and they all have the same opinion of him

I was appalled by the filth of this doctors tools and his lack of proper hygiene when working on patients. He does not wear gloves and shoves his filthy fingers in your mouth uncovered. His clothing and office is filthy and his instruments are also filthy. After repeatedly asking for a written estimate of the cost of the work, he never provided any. This man should be shut down. Also, I had to endure loud right wing talk radio while he worked. I couldn't even hear what he had to say and he got angry when asked to repeat himself. This man is a pig. Why is he allowed to continue ???
