Very poor direction, more worried about his paycheck than his patients.

Very well pleased. Dr DaSilva is an excellent surgeon. Very meticulous in everything. Nurses in MICU said he was one of the best doctors when it came to caring for his patients. They said one of the best. After surgery he took the time to explain to the family what had happened and what was going to happen next. Always very polite and did not seem hurried. He took the time to explain to the patient and family. At discharge he redressed the surgical Site and thanked us. We need to thank him. His "bedside manner" was great. His staff also were friendly and seemed concerned for our well being. Sherman is fortunate to have Dr. DaSilva here.

Dr. Dasilva is an excellent surgeon but poor bedside manner... barely talked; just said that my back was repaired. Crushed L4 vertebrae...bucked off a horse. First problem was getting pain pills from pharmacy... didn't send a written prescription. First office visit was terrible... couldn't see cat scan because they couldn't pull it up... Excuse: installing new computer system. Last Straw: Had a cat scan done in Dallas because it cost $250 vs $600 in Sherman. We received a written order from Dr Dasilva's office for the Cat scan. The order did not tell the Cat scan facility to send the disc back with us. They told us that the Dr. would have everything the next morning by 9 AM. I had a 10:30 appointment so I called his office to see if they had gotten the results from the Cat scan office. They said that they did not receive the disk and that the Dr. had to have the disk. Numerous calls later: rescheduled visit 3 wks. later. Not Happy!

Great Doctor and wonderful staff! I had serious nerve pain in my back and legs-..it's been 6 weeks since the surgery disc removal and nerves freed from pinching, bio mechanical cage with some screws no problems with the gripping pain in my back or of the sharp electrifying shooting pains that ran from my hip all through my legs! God be with him because he is a "Miracle- Worker!!" Indeed. He and his staff will bend over backwards to help you, they are fun loving ,kind and graciously humble people! I love the Doctor, Valerie, Allison and Dawn! You "Rock!"

In the last seven years, doctors in neurology who looked into my chronic muscular-skeletal pain and the degeneration happening in my spinal cord could not help me. This year, I knew of Dr. Victor DaSilva, and on 06-26-13 he performed on my neck a successful Anterior Cervical Discectomy Decompression. I am grateful to Dr. DaSilva’s outstanding and honest professional and scientific skills.

After going to several different doctors no one could give me any answers to what was causing all my problems, I was in constant pain. Headaches, numbness in my legs, was unable to swallow anything and pain in my neck and shoulders. I finally found Dr.DaSilva who found that it was something I was born with and told me it could be repaired. Now 3 months after healing from surgery I have no more pain. Dr.DaSilva truly is a blessing and I highly recommend him.

I was really impressed with Dr.DaSilva. He performed surgery on my neck at C-6 and C-7 on 7/30/2013. My recovery went well while I was still in the hospital. I was able to remove my cervical collar after 2 1/2 months. I am feeling good and slowly getting back to my old self. I still have approximately 3 months of recovery left. I met a lady at Sam's recently who had a collar on and I found out she had used Dr. DaSilva, too. She was doing great and had high praise for him, as well. I would recommend Dr. DaSilva for any neurological surgery you might be needing.

i went to see dr. dasilva and he had the bedside manner of a turnip. he made me feel like he didnt believe my complaints that i have been dealing with for 3 months. i was very disappointed i had heard good things about him and was let down. he didnt do anything but ask questions and not believe my answers. i was in tears by the time i left his office. maybe because i was the last patient of the day but it seemed he wanted me to hurry up and leave. for a first appt this didnt boost my confidence level. all i got was hurt feelings.
