Biography

Dr. Scott Morrell is a native of Orlando, Fla. He attended Tulane University in New Orleans and was a 4-year football letterman. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology in 1981.Dr. Morrell attended Tulane University School of Medicine from 1981 \u2013 1985, and completed his orthopaedic residency in 1990 at Emory University in Atlanta. He has been in private practice in Toccoa, GA (1990 \u2013 1992) and Conyers/Covington, Ga. (1993-2011) prior to his relocation to the Auburn/Opelika area.Dr. Morrell is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His practice is general orthopaedics with areas of interest in joint replacement, sports medicine and trauma.He and his wife Kris, a graduate of the Auburn University School of Nursing, have three children, Madeline, Benjamin and Rachel. His leisure activities include gardening, golf and fishing.
