After having an absolutely atrocious experience with this office, I realize reading these reviews that others feel the same way. I have never met with the actual doctor, but the NP. She runs around with a laptop, snickers about how overworked she is, has no bedside manners, and doesn't seem to care about why you're actually there. One receptionist is actually nice, but its just to cover-up the unpleasantness of the rest of the office. Dr Murphy may be solid doctor, but the office is to be avoided.

Went in for a physical. NP was sloppy and rushed. Waited 40 minutes in the exam room after being told the doc was ready. Finally just got dressed and left. Bonnie was very nice when I called in to confirm that we would not be billed but this was the wrong way to start the patient/doc relationship. Looking for a new doctor.

Waited almost an hour for my appointment. No one ever came to me to tell me Dr was running late. Even Kaiser does that! When I asked, I was told several times, "he's just finishing up." I was put in the "appease me" room and of course the Dr never showed up before I finally had to leave. Suggest to office staff that they make a point to TELL a waiting patient that Dr. is running late and to have a check in with the Dr. to find out HOW LATE he is going to be. So much more efficient and respectful.

Wow. We heard such nice things but what a disappointment. Dr. Murphy took my mother who had really been ill treated and was in need of someone to listen to her. She is severely disabled. He said he had talked to her specialists, but hadn't. Said he was setting up her procedure with her surgeon but hadn't, said he got approval for her hospital stay but hadn't. Lie after lie after lie while she lays at 64, bedridden and wracked with pain. How can you call yourself a doctor and let someone suffer? How can you look in the mirror when you have chosen a profession that helps people. He clearly didn't want to be bothered -- just threw pain meds at her and lied. I'm beyond angry.

I LOVE Dr. Murphy. Inspite of previous negative encounters with NP's in his office, I continue to go see Dr. Murphy. I have been fortunate not to have issues in which he was unable to diagnose and he has always been willing to send me to a specialist when I have needed one. He referred me to a wonderful Orthopeodic Surgeon. He knows I won't see anyone else in his office and will find time for a long term patient (15 yrs). Bonnie is AWESOME - extremely caring when I came in very sick once. I'm the kind that waits to long to see a Dr. Karla is great too! Dr. Murphy always gives me a hug when I leave. The rest of the office staff I could do without, but Dr. Murphy is the one that counts for me! He issues prescriptions from a notebook computer with me in the room. Getting refills can occassionally be a challenge though.

In the 5 years that my daughter was going to Dr. Murphy, she actually saw the doctor maybe twice. The rest of the time she only saw the nurse practitioner. But on the insurance bills it says she saw the doctor - is that legal? The last time he left her waiting 45 minutes, and then when she commented on it, he got all huffy and in her face, as if his time is so much more important than his patients'. When she switched doctors, she asked that her medical records be sent over; they had records for about three visits! After what was probably 50 visits (she had a lot of issues) almost none of these visits was actually documented! Again, is that legal? I don't know what he's doing all day but he sure isn't seeing patients. I would not recommend him to anyone. The best thing he ever did for her was refer her to a specialist.

Dr Murphy Is not caring at all. I was told by someone in the office it was better to get a physical by one of the NP's, he was not thorough. He has left me hanging waiting on serious test results. Seems to talk in riddles when asking a question. Gets defensive when asking questions saying if I didn't feel he couldn't give me the right care, find someone else. Thought we should be comfortable asking our Dr's questions. When test should be run, he tends to avoid it. I was told from a specialist I needed a test. Dr Murphy told me no he would keep an eye on it..WTF. He has misdiagnosed..shrugs things off... there is so much he has done, wouldn't have the room to write it. I and others felt were incompetent. I would NEVER recommend Dr Murphy to anyone! It's sad we have Dr's like this

Dr. Murphy is great, Nurse Pract not so much. Front staff pretty sad, often wait for RX refills of blood pressure meds for days, you call the office they seem annoyed. Overheard Ms. Office Manager say to coworker I've had these refills for days and have not gotten to them. When you walk in you should be welcomed, acknowledged, they seem annoyed, uncaring, it really kind of sets a bad impression.

I have seen him for , many many years and have nothing but excellent things to say, he tried all he could and was always very friendly. There should be more caring docters taking his example.
