I drove 7 hours to finally see this Dr. For him to be dismissive and completely unhelpful. Then tell me I have nerve damage and there’s nothing he can do (I have no symptoms of nerve damage) made remarks about my others drs diagnosis. I found him to be quite rude and condescending . If I could give him a zero I would

Dr Sernik was the only staff at Vernon Jubilee
that sat down and went over l the pros and cons of surgery for collarbone surgery. Highly recommend this doctor not just of his bedside manner but his knowledge and empathy! He is not only so busy he takes time out to explain ! I cannot say enough of this gentlemen. Thank you for your knowledge Dr Sernik even though I hope we do not meet again !! Lol !! Deborah West

Surgeons office and then surgery. Excellent care, knowledge, bedside manner .. I would highly recommend Dr Sernik. My whole experience was very comfortable , kept me informed. I am very happy with Dr Serniks office staff and his team from the Vernon Jubilee Hosp. From OR to recovery room to the surgical floor . I was never kept out of the loop regarding my care and my post op progress . Thanks to Dr Sernik and the whole team.

Dr Sernik is the BEST. I have never met a surgeon with such an outstanding "bed side manner" I was scheduled for surgery with Dr Sernik and he took the time to walk me through my options. He didn't rush me to make a decision. He answered ALL of my questions, gave me the pros and cons of having surgery or opting out.
He even gave me the option to think about it for a few days and he would reschedule me if that was my choice.
I've never had a Family Dr, Walk in Clinic, or previous Surgeon be so thorough. I have never felt in such great hands as surgery is a serious undertaking. With such a great explanation, I was able to make an imformed decision rather than just being told what to do,
I recommend Dr Sernik 110%

Dr Sernik was fabulous. Exemplary job on my knee surgery. As I was from out of town he said if I had any issues to call him personally and he would get back to me next day. Great service. Zoom pre operation meetings and information were invaluable and sp progressive. Super personable and staff were very helpful

First visit he was extremely kind and friendly but the second he was short and absolutely no explanation. The pain is horrible and no pain medication plus the attitude where I felt nervous to even talk. Broken arm and he acted the second time like I was annoying yet he had me come in? Not once does the receptionist answer the phone ever. Leave message to wait all day for her to call back. He's good and yet his lack of understanding to talk things out about injury is bad. I learned more from YouTube then from him.

Dr Sernik had already decided there was nothing he could do for me after viewing my x-rays. Upon meeting him he said he could do surgery if I wanted but his colleague would do it as he was off for the weekend - but the surgery wouldn't make a difference anyway. I'm not even sure why he scheduled me for any appointments. All he did was have more x-rays taken at the Vernon Hospital (which could have been done in my home town 45km away). He gave me no hope of, and told me I would have pain for the rest of my life. He didn't even suggest physio, I asked had to ask him for a referral. I felt that I was an inconvenience to him.

Dr. Sernik replaced both of my hips. I was essentially crippled and am now playing golf 4 times a week and have so completely become unaware of them that the last time I went through airport security, I forgot to mention them. Mistake! lol Excellent surgeon and a great guy.
