Dr. Gendler and staff are truly the best. Many Dr's have commented on my lumpectomy scar and have been impressed with it. I know with Dr. Gendler I am in good hands. I had one biopsy which showed no malignancy and Dr. Gendler was determined for me to go in for another biopsy, which this time detected benign cells mixed with cancer. She is a walking encyclopedia and is very passionate about Breast Cancer as it is also in her family. ..I just wish she returned calls quicker but note that she IS very busy - to the vicious poster who accused her of lying. Having researched everything on Breast Cancer, Dr. Gendler is a proven phenomenal surgeon as well as my gut reaction that I am in fabulous hands with her.

My family physician had recommended her pracice but since I had no insurance coverage at the time I chose the clinic at Morristown Hospital instead where Dr. Gendler also saw patients once a week . This was my first encounter with Dr. Gendler. After running all the tests, It was determined that I needed a galactagram, which is a surgery. At first I was frightened...the first thoughts being breast cancer.....she calmed my fears, did the surgery, and became someone that I have come to rely on. I recently saw her for what I thought might be another problem in the same breast area. She immediately had me come in and thoroughly checked me out, alleviating all fears, once again. She took the time to talk to me and made sure I felt that all was well. I can't say enough about Dr. Gendler. If you need to see a breast doctor...make it Dr. Gendler.

Dr. Gendler was the most supportive, helpful surgeon-doctor I have ever encountered. I had a bi-lateral mastecomy and without her and the staff's support I could have never gotten through this. She came recommended to me by an oncology nurse. Once I met her I was willing to go out of network and do not regret that choice. I was truly blessed to have found such a caring professional. She made my journey through this hellish time so much easier. I cannot thank her enough.

Dr. Gendler was my surgeon for a benign breast condition & I couldn't be more pleased (my scar is barely visible). I had office appointments numerous times before & after the surgery and she and her office staff are always professional as well as extremely courteous, friendly, & helpful. She is extremely knowledgeable so from the medical standpoint you know you are in excellent hands. She is also compassionate & friendly so from a personal standpoint you feel at ease. She is very thorough and allows the patient as much time as they need to ask all questions. She never rushes you out of her office and she explains things in terms the patient understands. I have a family history of breast cancer & was a scared on my first visit but when I left her office I knew that the combination of her knowledge, professionalism & "bedside manner" made her the perfect doctor for whatever my tests would reveal-many visits later that instinct was right.

She is the most vicious and money hungry surgeon I've met. She wanted me to pay upfront for a needle guided breast removal, and then FAILED to take out ALL of it, so she wanted me to pay upfront AGAIN for second surgery! She made up some excuse about her assistant who put the x-ray wrong!

I found Leah Gendler to be very knowledgeable and skilled. She performed a breast surgery on me and within 3 days SHE called me at home in the evening t o give me the results. My followup visit with her was profesional but friendly...she makes it easy for a patient/doctor conversation and is interested in what's best for the patient. I highly recommend her.

She is VERY unprofessional. She doesn't return phone calls and then lies that her staff didn't give her the messages. If it happened once, that would be a different story. I tried leaving voice mail AND messages to the staff. She makes up excuses for not getting back to you like she was in surgery all day or just got back in the office.
