Dr Gupta was so abrupt and abrasive that I looked for reviews after my visit to see if it was just me. She was incredibly dismissive, told me the previous doctors I saw didn't know what they were talking about because they were not specialists, and told me to stop talking about what brought me there when I was was providing symptoms. She just gave me a laundry list of meds to choose from and told me to pick one. She left the room before I was done asking questions. I actually was wondering if she was coming back when I heard her enter another room and start talking to someone else. I was told the appt by staff it could be 90 mins. Specialists are paid for at least 45 for an initial consult. I got less than 20, after waiting for many months. Maybe she's brilliant but I don't feel heard or supported to the point I don't really trust her recommendations thus far.

I traveled 4 hours to see this doctor whose bedside manners were horrible. She was totally dismissive and had no trust in what I said. Despite the fact I was treated for concussion by other treatment providers she told me I didn't sustain a concussion simply because I didn't go unconscious after my accident. She made me feel bad about my chronic migraines and symptoms I was experiencing. I do not recommend this doctor at all, there are others, better doctors we deserve to see.

I saw Dr. Gupta for several years for botox injections for migraine. I then had a 6-week migraine episode. I called the office to inform them, but never heard anything back; so when I followed up with a phone call, I was told to just come in for my regular botox appointment. At that appointment, Dr. Gupta was dismissive, bordering on rude. I had a number of questions regarding whether the current treatment protocol was still viable, all of which she dismissed. She walked out of the room while I was still asking questions. I have now moved to another neurologist, who spent considerable time with me, and has reassessed the treatment protocol, and diagnosed the 6-week migraine and suggested interventions should one occur again. Dr. Gupta's bedside manner -- and, even more importantly, her diagnostic capacity -- is not adequate. I would not recommend her to anyone.

This doctor’s methods and bedside manner are absolutely horrendous. I don’t need a doctor who is warm and fuzzy but I do need a doctor who cares to some degree about my quality of life. Treats her patients with contempt. She is narrow-minded, dismissive, and clearly has zero trust in the patients she treats. The lack of trust goes both ways. I’m left feeling sad, scared, and shamed.

Saw Dr. in North Van & as others have noted Dr. GUPTA is THE MOST unprofessional Dr. I've ever had to go to. Totally not forthcoming with information, & totally disinterested in helping me with my pain or sorting it out. Basically, I was a bothersome part of her day when I asked questions in an effort to understand. Told me nothing was wrong but would refer for a nerve conduction test. I did not hear anything about the Nerve Conduction referral for 10 days. This was to be done in the SAME OFFICE by her colleague. Not hearing anything I called to see when my appt. might be.

Was told the secretary went on holiday and would do it when she got back. Waited for another 3 wks. & still nothing so contacted again - oh yes, sorry referral wasn't done - how not you're IN THE SAME OFFICE for god's sake. I got the appt. in 2 days BUT again the colleague was no better. Like talking to a wall - felt like I was a problem and really shouldn't be there & bluntly told nothing was wrong go back to your Dr. Their office is obviously not busy as when I called about my appts & when I might be able to get in I easily got in - I wonder why? RUN don't walk, RUN away as fast as you can if you get a referral to this Dr or office. TOTAL WASTE OF valuable time.

The most unprofessional Doctor that I have ever seen through out my life time. I am appalled that she is still practising in her field. Clearly, Dr. Gupta has some serious issues that she needs to address before dealing with her clients. Her superiors needs to follow up with all of these concerns and complaints against her. She needs to be removed from her job and replaced with another Neurologist immediately.

I had seen Dr. Gupta in North Van a few years ago for my chronic headaches. She gave me information about what my options were, but didn’t offer a follow up appt. A couple years later I came back to see her because my headaches had only gotten worse. This time around she seemed very disinterested and i know she was trying to get my history but her approach was totally wrong because I felt like I was being interrogated. She said she had nothing to offer me and asked what I wanted from her. I explained that another doctor had recommended botox and was actually pushing it on me so I decided to get another opinion and dr. Gupta said it will not work for tension headaches and gave no explanation. She said there is nothing she could do and was very rude, disinterested and provided no explanation. I was left so shocked and after the appt I left crying the entire way home. I understand that sometimes a doctor can’t help you with your problems but she should not be the cause of my headaches. I would definitely NOT recommend her.

our daughter herniated a disc in her lower back 4 years ago and suffers from chronic incontinence, saddle numbness, weakness, etc. Shortly after her injury, she was referred to see Dr. Gupta. Dr. Gupta examined our daughter for her spinal injury and somehow could only find roses. i remember her as unfriendly and seemingly uncaring and disinterested. i felt uncomfortable with her and wondered at the time, about her level of competence. her final conclusion was that our daughters symptoms were 'improving over time' and that she 'suspected' they would continue to do so. she went on to write that the 'intermittent and improving nature makes another neurological or worrisome neurological structural problem unlikely'. Dr. Gupta gave us no treatment plan and no follow up appointment.

years later, our daughter's symptoms continue to worsen and we are still struggling to find answers.

I would NEVER recommend Dr. Gupta. we found her help to be completely useless and a terrible waste of time.

The personality of a lamppost. I would not consider her knowledgeable about concussions. Lack of concern, I was made to feel like I was wasting her time. Truth be told, she was a waste of my time. She claimed that a concussion is only defined by loss of consciousness. I also can't understand why she asked me about my level of education?

My experience was awful. I left feeling like she felt like I must be abused or that my symptoms were not real? She did the normal checking of hands body movements. Asked questions but did not seem to care much for my responses. Kept asking if there was something I wasn’t telling her. I even forgot to tell her about some symptoms probably because I was so shocked. I live a long ways away and flew down for this. Was a complete waste of time. Very disappointed.
