My experience with Dr. Gupta was beyond disgusting. She showed little empathy or compassion for my problems. I had been referred by my G.P. and when I was seated in her office before saying hello, she blurted out "Did....your Lawyer...send you here?" I was so shocked, I was unable to answer. Without knowing anything about me, she said, "I will refer you to have an MRI, but it has nothing to do with your car accident." I returned when my results from my MRI were back. The result showed brain damage. I was unable to retain anything she had told me except that she walked down a long hallway, with her back, towards me, and still walking away from me, blurted out "It's......nice...to see...you...again." I have NEVER experienced such RUDE behaviour from a "professional". She belittled me, and I left her office in SHOCK. Clearly, Dr. Gupta should not be dealing with people who are desperately needing help for their problems. She has chosen the wrong field to be in and needs to seek help for herself.

Useless. Didn't do anything. No trying to figure out what was wrong.

I have had chronic migraine for over 6 years. 20 to 31 excruciating migraines a month and any days leftover are headaches. I can't function. Dr. Gupta is the first dr I've been to that has been able to help me! She was so easy to talk to, she was so informative, she didn't talk to me like I'm a bother, she answered my questions politely and without judgement and she came up with a plan to combat my migraines. She is just wonderful! And it's the first time in 6 years that I have been prescribed something that actually works. I'm so excited because I think she's actually going to help me get through this! I'm so thankful I could cry!

I question whether she really has a medical degree, yet specialty in neurology. Seems to hate her career choice and makes it clear she really does not care about helping patients who are seeking answers to their neurological symptoms. I honestly think she knows so little about neurology and the brain that she dismisses patients as anxiety or psychological. It is apparent by the other negative comments that she should rethink how she interacts with patients. I think she needs to get a handle on her own depressive mood disorder before dismissing patients with “anxiety”. It was apparent she did not review the information my doctor sent over and then talked at me for a full 10 minutes before dismissing me. To think MSP is going to pay this so-called specialist a new patient specialist visit fee of what $250-$300 for 10 minutes? What a waste of time.

She believes that all other physicians and allied health professionals are wrong about the existence of post-concussive syndrome, and that it is not real. Her entire consultation gave completely opposite information to what is written by the Mayo Clinic online about postconcussive syndrome. Either Dr. Gupta or Mayo must be wrong.

This by far is the worst doctor I’ve encountered. From a facts perspective she is very uneducated when it comes to the brain and has no problem admitting this. She does not push and try and help you find answers or advocates for your health and improvement. Her bedside manner is horrific and leads to to wonder if she herself suffers from depression or some type of neurological disorder. There is a reason you can get into see her quicker than others in her field. The is the worst and I don’t think she should be allowed to practice or diagnose people who are desperately looking for help.

She was awful. I have to agree with the other negative comments. Appt lasted approx 30 mins. Probably 15-20 mins talking. Essentially, she told me my concussion symptoms were psychological.

I was a patient of Dr. Gupta’s last year and intially found her to be very understanding of my situation/symptoms. However, when I had a follow up appointment with her to discuss additional symptoms, my concerns were belittled and invalidated. She insinuated that my nerve pain was “anxiety” and that I should see a psychiatrist and also gain weight (when I already have severe intestinal issues and have gained 20 pounds). I have seen these recommended psychiatrists, all of whom insist they cannot help me as my illness is PHYSICAL.

This is not the first time this has happened to me and I’m certain it will not be the last. If you really want to “do no harm” to your patients, please start with believing what they say is true. It’s hard enough to live on a daily basis with severe disability, but to be completely doubted and shut down by a medical professional that you trust is so disheartening and devastating. I cried when I left this appointment. In short, if you don’t have an explanation of why the patient may have said symptoms, just say you don’t know. Please don’t blame the patients for their symptoms. If my illness was as simple as eating more, meditating, taking psych meds and excercising, I wouldn’t be wasting my time in your office in the first place.

I attended Dr.Gupta's office at North Shore Neurology after e referral from my GP.
I suffered from head aches, sleep problems, dizziness and lack of focus and memory loss.
It appeared that Dr. Gupta was not fully listen or understanding my explanation of symptoms.
She recommended to take a more frequent dosage of pain and sleep medication.
That's all, a short analysis and treatment protocol for my symptoms given by a "specialist".
It's a WASTE of TIME to visit her. I believe she has a very limited knowledge of medicine.
I would not even give 1star.
