Left in worse condition than when I came to him. I came in with a cracked filling that I had for 6+ months but had no pain or issues other than not being able to floss the tooth. During cleaning, hygienist broke the piece off. They made me wait a week to get filling replaced, leaving a huge hole that hurt. I was in a decent amount of pain that week. When I finally got the filling done, he did a terrible job. I felt pain during the procedure but he urged me to continue. When finished, he didn’t test the margins and left a HUGE gap between my teeth that causes EVERYTHING I eat to get stuck in there. It’s uncomfortable and painful and will probably kill my tooth. He also didn’t polish it down enough. My tongue was so sore from rubbing a sharp edge, I couldn’t take it. When I called the office, the receptionist was rude! Even though I was a first time patient, she told me that they couldn’t help me until next week. Fed up with the pain, I went to the office anyway and begged for help. The receptionist then said she meant to tell me on the phone to use a nail file to file the sharp edge!!! I didn’t know what to say to that! Very unprofessional. She said the doctor could see me if I wanted to wait an hour. I cried in the waiting room while I waited to be seen.
Dr lumpp filed the tooth down enough that my tongue wasn’t sore anymore but left sharp pieces that my tongue still gets caught on and that shred my floss.
To fix the gap between the teeth, he suggested replacing the filling next to the tooth he messed up. Hell no!! I’m not letting this man mess up a perfectly fine filling because he couldn’t do the first one correctly!
Now, it’s been a couple of months and I’m miserable! My tooth hurts a lot. It’s sharp and it bothers me 24/7. I’m too scared to go back to a dentist right now but I can’t take this much longer. I think I probably needed a crown instead of a filling (my previous dentist in another state had mentioned that) but dr lumpp never said anything like that. He just did a crap job filling on a large cavity. It wouldn’t surprise me if I have to now get a crown at a different dentist. I just want the pain to go away.
Also, the Novocain injection site hurt for almost 2 weeks, which I’ve never experienced before.
He also didn’t listen well.
I do not recommend this practice.

This has been the worst dental experience of my life! I called to make an appointment specifically stating that my tooth was throbbing and I needed a filling right away. I had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment, when I got in I was told there was only time for xrays and I had to wait another week. Dr lumpp said that my next appointment would only take 30 minutes so I scheduled the last one for the day. When I came in he told me that he didn’t have enough time to fill my cavities unless I chose not to get Novocain because his assistant had to leave early, I was reluctant but I could not wait another week to have all the work done so I chose to have it done with out anything numbing my mouth, Dr lumpp completely rushed though this procedure while the whole time apologizing to his dental assistant she had to stay a few minutes late as I laid there in pain listening while a drill was in my mouth with nothing to ease the pain. This was for 3 cavity’s on the left side of my mouth. For over a week I could not bite down on that side but I read that could be a normal side effect and last night the bottom filling completely came out my whole jaw is throbbing, I tried to call and make an appointment but he is out of the office and the receptionist was so nasty speaking in a condescending tone telling me I should have called earlier. They referred me to an oral surgeon for a temporary filling so I called dr lumps office back to set up a real appointment and the receptionist was still acting nasty wish the worst tone In her voice and did not understand the concept of me having to get the temporary filling taken out and a real one to replace it. She refused to let me set up a new appointment for next week and hung up on me. I tried calling back she sent me straight to voicemail 3 times. She was very unprofessional!!!

Dr. Lumpp is the BEST! Me and my family have been going for years. It's a private practice where the staff knows you by name, little wait time and never a problem getting an appointment. He's available 24/7 and if you can't see you makes arrangements for you.
Dr. Lumpp, his wife and staff are wonderful people. I have not one negative thing to say. I wish all other offices I visited were like his.

It's been years since i last went to him because he started a root canal on me; took $100 cash deposit (I had no insurance). My tooth/gums got horribly infected. Called the office & told them I needed to come in before my next scheduled appt & said I was in horrible pain..... I had been up with it all night. They checked w/him. He said he will be going away (?) & his friend, another dentist was taking his patients. That dentist squeezed me in, said he ."knew" of Dr. Lump but was not a friend & hardly knew him. I was a middle aged adult then, literally crying, tears flowing, in pain. This dentist, Dr. Levine, I believe his name is, in Levittown, drilled into the temp filling Dr. Lump put in, pus SHOT out of my tooth. Infection was SO bad and yet Dr. Lump, whose office was only blocks from me, refused to see me, after getting my $100.00. Had to go then to a 3rd dentist to finish the root canal work after I finished my regiment of antibiotics. I never understood why, if Dr. Lump STARTED my root canal and was at his office, working, WHY he REFUSED to see me when told I was in horrible pain & mouth swollen about 2 or 3 days later. I SHOULD have just stormed into his office & told his patients of my pain, suffering and terrible treatment by Dr. Lump. I wish I had! Apparently, while he seems quite nice when he takes your money and while he starts work on you, he was very uncaring to me. He never apologized or followed up to see how I was, never refunded my money when sent a follow up report about me. Is there a way to give a more negative response than this one? I wish there were. When I think of a dentist who put me through pain &a suffering that was terrible and needless, only one name comes to mind! Like I said, he was THERE, IN THE OFFICE, but refused to see me to alleviate my pain a remedy a situation he caused. Again, long time ago but, the reason I'd not step foot into Dr. Lump's office, even if it were an emergency.

Dr Lumpp has been our dentist for many years- he is THE best. I have never lost a filling or cap that he has done, and I've had them a long time. We moved upstate 9 years ago and still make the trip to keep him as our dentist. We tried another dentist but came right back to him; no one can compare to him.
