Initially a fine dr. and very kind.
Follow-up is non-existent if you miss an appointment.
He does not visit patients in hospital. His resident team does not respond to family request for contact.
He does not accommodate the elderly but rather indicates they are out of it.
I would not suggest his service for the elderly.

I believe Dr Faria has earned his status as the best colorectal surgeon in Montreal. He is extremely competent; also kind, honest, and oddly philosophical.

My first appointment lasted more than an hour because he took his time to explain everything thoroughly. He did not give me easy answers; but he was honest and patient.

I am glad I made the decision to wait a few extra months so that he could be my surgeon - I could have gotten a similar operation done quicker with a different surgeon, but I did not trust him like I trust Dr. Faria. Dr Faria's approach to my surgery was also designed to be minimally invasive and to last longterm. He clearly thought about my needs beyond simply a quick fix.

I would recommend Dr. Faria whole-heartedly, with the caveat that you will likely have to wait a few days for his secretary to return your calls, and several months for surgery. This is obviously due to resource constraints, not his fault.

Dr Faria is a knowledgeable and a thoughtful Dr.
The Dr. took the time to explain my options and I feel that he helped immensely in my decision making.
I am now on my way to recovery thanks to Dr. Faria.
I would highly reccomend Dr. Faria for patients needing his expertise.

I suffered from internal hemorrhoid bleeding and pain. Being on blood thinners, banding was not an option Dr. Faria recommended Ultra Red procedure no bleeding. After multiple sessions I'm free of the above. A trustworthy great doctor. Grazie!!

Dr Faria is a blessing. After numerous visits for hemorrhoid banding, I have much less pain and discomfort. He’s so good at what he does and has such a gently touch that I often don’t realize he’s finished his work until he says it’s done. He’s extremely personable and explains things in easy to understand terms. His sense of humour goes a long way too considering he deals with rear ends all day! His assistants are always super courteous and professional as well, and Georgia will always find a way to fit you in to his schedule.
