Dr Silas is wonderful! Prenatal visits, gyn visits, we've done it all and I've been very pleased with his care. He has a very matter of fact yet sensitive attitude that puts you at ease quickly. Plus, he's really interested in your life and wants to know whats going on with you, so you know he cares (or does a really excellent job faking it!:). Overall, he's a very gentle, compassionate doctor, and even took the time to calm me down before we got started when I was especially nervous during one visit--when you're with him you're the most important person in the room. I wouldn't go to anyone else! In the past the office staff hasn't been the greatest, but seems to be getting better, too. I really just can't say enough good things!

I agree 100% that Dr. Silas is one of the best physicians I have ever been to. He has a wonderful bedside manner and is one of the most kind and caring obgyns I've ever met. He is also a very competent and knowledgable physician. Dr Silas even took the time to call me back from his home on a Friday evening to discuss possibly bad test results with me & even though he didn't have access to my chart he called me first thing Monday morning to talk further with me! He even apologized to me once for missing one of my appointments because he was out sick that day! Now what physician has ever done that? Office staff used to leave ALOT to be desired, but that seems to be improving lately with some changes. Highly recommend Dr. Silas!

Dr Silas is the best doctor I've ever been to. He is very caring and can put you at ease very quickly, which is definitely a good quality in an OBGYN. However the office leaves something to be desired. When I needed to change a prescription it took over a month for me to get a hold of him because apparently he didn't know I have ever called. I thought that he could have been a bit more helpful when I went in for a GYN issue recently, but his bedside manner nearly makes up for it. If you're skittish with doctors like I am, this guy is a winner. I'm in the process of moving to texas now but if I was staying in the area I would without a doubt still stay with him.

Dr. Silas is a sweetie... but his office staff is awful! I've never complained about any office staff before because I know how stressful and overworked they can be! BUT, they were just rude. I left Dr. Silas 6 messages regarding some important bloodwork (I had been trying to get pregnant for 2 years). I finally got through to him after 6 weeks and he told me that no one on his staff told him that I had ever called. Also, on top of paying your insurance co-pay, the actual office also charges you a fee just to visit... at least they did when I was going there... that may have changed.

Dr. Silas is the absolute best!!! He was always so very helpful and extremely informative about questions I had relating to my pregnancy. I was always the "scary" type--and although I'm sure he had his share of laughs about it, so did I! Yet he always found ways of easing my mind about those "scary" things I always seem to have questions about. Mind you, I'm very healthy! Overall, this man is genious! If we ever return to Virginia, I know for a fact that I will continue to see him as my physician. The office staff (Cynthia, Sharon, Margaret etc.) are all so dear. Gosh I wish they were here in NC! Thanks Dr. Silas for all that you've done for me!

I love Dr. Silas and the entire office. The entire staff at there offices are wonderful. He delivered one of my children and he was outstanding!! Wonderful bedside manner, always on time for pre-natal visits, helpful, informative, explained everything in layman's terms and I never felt rushed.

I had a great experience with Dr. Silas and everyone else in his practice. They were all very well informed, friendly, and respected my feelings and choices. Nothing was pushed on me that I did not want. Dr. Silas was very encouraging of me wanting to wait to go into labor and avoid interventions. He was supposed to be the one to deliver me, but I ended up going into labor sooner and Dr. Maddox did instead. Dr. Silas saw me for many of my prenatal appointments, and he was very good with my older son that accompanied me. I never felt rushed. and I was not talked down to.
