A completely positive experience. Went to Dr. Gallentine for a second opinion. Turns out I was mis-diagnosed by previous Dr. I am now doing great and take NO medications. Staff was friendly and diligent to make sure I was able to see Dr. Gallentine on short notice.

I'm fifty, and have struggled most of my life with depression, and time and time again have seen big successes followed by stunning failures in my life. Faith, family and determination carried me through each time. I've been seeing Dr. Gallentine for about 6 months now - when I first came to her, I was on the abyss. Now I'm here carving time out of Christmas day to tell you she has been a blessing in my life. We treated the depression, then eventually got to what may very well be the root cause. Still hard to believe that I've gone a whole lifetime in the shadows of a neurological disorder. How do you thank a medical professional for the depth of her knowledge, her patience and her compassion? Avoid this Doctor at all costs. She is extremely rigid, judgemental and appears to me totally mismatchedfor a profession such as psychiatry. She is controlling and made me feel like a child. I felt unhelped and completely depressed after my consults with her - I was worse after treatment than before. A short time later, a friend was telling me of a nightmarish experience she had with a psychiatrist. The woman in question is a pschologist herself, laid-back, very easy going and highly intelligent. As she described her experience, I asked out of curiosity the Doctor's name.Guess who it was? The very same Dr. Gallantine! In short, run , do not walk, away from this Doctor! There are so many better choices out there...

Extremely kind and helpful; diagnosed and prescribed exactly the right meds to bring me closer to "normal". I am happier than in a long time. Therapy with her is always interesting. She is truly a gem. I cannot imagine getting help from anyone else.

Dr. Gallentine is a wonderful doctor. She is tough to get in to see but she is so worth the wait. She is very knowledgeable and very kind. My initial visit was one hour and 30 minutes. She asked so many questions. It was such a breath of fresh air to meet a doctor that wasnt about feeding me meds and seeing me again in 2 weeks. I saw a Dr.previous to Dr. Gallentine who wanted to put me on mood stabilizers for my obsessive thoughts and then told me I didnt have OCD. Dr. Gallentine said the mood stabilizers were extreme and that I did have OCD. She even sent a welcome letter stating that if I ever needed anything to call anytime and she would call back. I have see a lot of psychiatrists but Dr. Gallentine is top notch.

Dr. Gallentine is amazing. She is so kind, caring, and understanding. Also, she is willing to go above and beyond if you are her patient. I highly recommend her to anyone needing her services.
